Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Alligator at the Airport
Review: Alligator at the Airport is a great book that I have used with my preschool through grade three students. It focuses on each letter with pictures for beginning sounds and different activities for that letter. Space is provided for students to think and draw and write their own words or pictures that begin with that letter. For example, in the letter "F" section, students can label and draw in a blank face. They can draw family members followed by a discussion of names of relatives. A page is dedicated to feelings with blank faces to fill in appropriately and why a person may feel that way. Students can creat their own flag along with the flag of their country. A page for fruits and farm animals follows. All of this under one letter! Each section of the book is chock full of interesting and fun language activities. My students love using their imagination along with the drawing and writing skills they develop.
