Rating: Summary: Recommended Highly Review: This book is the complete guide to getting the edge at craps. It has taken craps writing to a new height. Scoblete has a wealth of experience and understands the game as no one does. His advice is solid and based not only on his own observations but on exhaustive study. The five step method he advocates is a real-world method that combines good shooters, your own "rhythmic rolling", and the five count. It takes discipline to play but I have been using it now for over six weeks and I play four times a week. In that time I have won a lot of money because the shooters I am betting on fit the criteria Scoblete gives us. The book is also a great read as Scoblete writes about his experiences in the casinos with flair. He is a great writer for sure. I also thoroughly enjoyed the chapter on the Captain, the man from whom Scoblete got much of his insights into the game. That chapter was very revealing. I recommend this book to all craps players and I recommend it without any reservations. It's a winner's book!
Rating: Summary: Scoblete's Greatest Work Review: I have read everything that Mr. Scoblete has written about craps. I look for his articles in Casino Player and Chance Magazine an I subscribe to his newsletter. This book is by far the most detailed, intelligent, insightful analysis of craps ever written. By thinking outside the box, Mr. Scoblete is able to draw our attention to the real nature of craps. This concerns the fact that shooters actually take control of the dice and, if they have the skill, might be able to actually change the percentages of the game. A small two percent shift is all that is needed to throw the game into the player's court. Scoblete has developed a method of play to exploit a fundamental weakness in the casino game of craps. Even with all the detail, Mr. Scoblete's book is never dull, that's because he is a superior writer. He is able to teach and entertain at the same time. His discussion of his own exploits at the craps tables is priceless. I also thoroughly enjoyed his biography of the famous Captain of craps. This is the greatest book on craps and may be the best book of its kind ever published.
Rating: Summary: This book should be titled Review: "Waiting FOREVER For Some Decent CRAPS Insight" Unfortunately, there's none in this book. If you believe this nonsense, you're better off playing the Big Wheel.
Rating: Summary: Excellent, Another Scoblete Masterpiece Review: Scoblete goes into a plan for playing craps that takes full advantage of possible rhythmic rollers, which are those individuals who might be able to influence the dice somewhat. It also explains how to practice your own dice sets and throws to minimiize the bouncing and careening of the dice. This will allow you to turn a slightly negative game into a positive game. His section on getting the most from comps can almost guarantee what Scoblete calls a 'monetary edge.' He has an extensive section on the 5 count, which I have been using for many years with great success. What some math guys might find interesting are the insights given by math professor Don Caitlin who examines various ideas that Scoblete brings up such as how much of an influence does one really have to exert on the dice to change the game into a player favorable one. Scoblete also allows his critics to speak and some of them are hilarious! These sections are just plain fun to read. The book also contains some wonderful stories. One is Scoblete's great roll at Binions in 1999, which really captures what its like to have one of those "monster rolls", and the other is an in depth biography of the Captain. Once you read this, you'll understand why Scoblete thinks so highly of the man. Scoblete once again demonstrates in this book why so many of us thoroughly enjoy his writing. He can mix strategies and anecdotes in a way that no one else can. The book is a pleasure to read but it is also an important one for craps players looking to get an edge!
Rating: Summary: Book has made me MONEY Review: I know that craps is a game where the casino has the edge. But Scoblete's book looks beyond that and shows you a legitimate way to get the edge. I have been followig his five-step method for over a year now and the results of 37 trips I've taken to the casinos are this. I have won 28 times, lost 9 times. I am way ahead at the game for the first time in my life. I wanted to share that with all of you. Buy this book because if you follow the author's recommendations you'll come out on top. I did.
Rating: Summary: First Rate Book by a First Rate Author Review: Forever Craps is a book that, if followed, can help you attain an edge over the casinos in the game of craps. The five step method that Scoblete describes in detail explains how to get the edge when you shoot and when the "golden shooters" shoot. I have been using the method now for about a year and I play every weekend. It works. There are also some very interesting and fun moments in the book. It also has the biography of a most remarkable man, the Captain, who is the father of modern dice control, figuring out how to beat the casinos in craps in the 1970s!. If you are a craps player looking for the most original and insightful book on craps ever written, then rush to buy this book now. It is a masterpiece written by a great writer.
Rating: Summary: The Best Present Ever! Review: My wife just gave me what I really wanted for Christmas, a complete set of Frank Scoblete's books and tapes on craps. While I have read and reread all of them several times, my copies have gotten beaten up. Now I have a pristine collection: Beat the Craps Out of the Casinos, Frank's first book, introduces the Captain and his marvelous methods of play such as the 5-Count, The Captain's Craps Revolution look more indepth at the 5-Count and variations in betting systems, then Forever Craps creates the ultimate method of play by utilizing 5 basic concepts to actually get the edge at the game. In addition to these, my wife gave me Sharpshooter Craps, Scoblete's audiotape, and Guerrilla Gambling, the best overall book on the casino games. My wife also ordered me The Craps Underground, Scoblete's new hardcover book, but that has not yet been released. I love the man's writing and I recommend him to anyone with the least interest in craps or casino gambling. His books run the gamut from craps to blackjack to even slots and they are all just so well written and instructive and fun to read.
Rating: Summary: Winning Method in a Fun Book Review: Frank Scoblete is the best casino gambling writer in the world. I just finished reading this book and his other great book, The Craps Underground. They are both excellent. Forever Craps details a five-step method for getting the edge at craps, something no other book has ever done. This five-step method includes the 5-Count, golden shooters, dice control, maximizing comps, and making the best bets for your throw. The book goes over each aspect fully and you really can apply these concepts in the casino quite easily. The dice control you do have to work at because it is a skill that takes practice but practice makes perfect as they say. The book also contains a great biography of the Captain of craps, the man Scoblete says is the greatest craps player of all time. His story is just wonderful and once you read it, your respect for the Captain will be sky high. This is one of the best gambling books ever written and could be the best craps book dealing with strategies ever written. I recommend it to anyone with a thirst for winning.
Rating: Summary: Treat Yourself to a Victory Review: Frank Scoblete has written an awesome book on how to beat the game of craps utilizing his five-step approach. If you are a craps player, you owe it to yourself to read this book. This is not a betting system but a method using dice control, golden shooters, the 5-Count, comps and best bets to gain an edge over the house. Don't miss out on the chance to actually beat the casinos.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book Review: I really thought this book is the best of the craps books that I have read. It looks at a workable, five-step method to get the edge at the game and explains that by using dice control, a player can really change the edge to favor himself. The book is well written and enjoyable to read.
