Rating: Summary: an amazing storie Review: thank you james for creating this movie and this book about the titanic . I loved everything about it specialy how you brought back those tragic last moments of the titanic . it's so hard to believe that some where out there, there is a ship under the sea that has many untold stories.
Rating: Summary: Simply the finest material ever produced Review: The book was indeed compelling. But I believe the move, in a word, was remarkable! I am not one for love stories, but this masterpiece has torn this cynical heart of mine to shreads. I am amazed at your ability to weave a story of true love, into this text-book-removed tradegy, in such a way that the actual disater is secondary to one's intest in the main characters and their destined love. All of you have honored those who parished in that hell on April 15th 1912, and you should be very proud.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, yet..."A Night To Remember" Has To Come First Review: I've seen the movie and have only skimmed this book (haven't bought it yet) and both are truly memorable and wonderful. However, I urge anyone reading this who has an interest in the Titanic story to read "A Night To Remember" by Walter Lord. It was written in the 1950's and uses many survivor accounts to tell, what feels like a novel, the story of the ship's sinking. As much as the movie's romance moved me, I don't feel it can compare when reading about the REAL LIFE couples who were separated forever. I felt the tragedy of the situation much more so than when I saw the movie...which I'll now have to see again!
Rating: Summary: fantastic book and movie! Review: This is the best book and movie that I have ever read and seen. This movie touched me in ways that I don't think I have ever been touched before. The movie kept me thinking for so long about the characters. James Cameron said that Rose and Jack were fictional characters. But there really was some one named Rose Dawson on board the Titanic. I have seen the movie 7 times. and the soundtrack is great. Is there a video of the Making of Titanic like the book. If you have any inside info on the titanic e mail me at ivy21697@aol.com

I will recoment this movie to every person I know. I left the theater so amazed and could not help thinking about the story, and that it is actually happend - 86 years ago. Thank you for this emotionel and wonderful experience that I'll never forget.
Rating: Summary: Titanic is the best ever Review: I have never seen a movie as compelling as Titanic in all my life. I have seen the movie 5 times and it got better every time!! I had to buy the book, and that just makes the movie even better. I loved all the behind the scenes stuff. I was amazed at how different the making of it was from the actual movie. I have looked through every detail of this book about 25 times now. It is great.

Rating: Summary: Heart-wrenching drama; defines the concept of true love Review: This book in one word is awesome. A book so great could never have been published without such a beautifully amazing movie to form its basis. I saw the movie for the 1st time on Fri, and went to bed that night with its haunting music playing in my mind. On Sat., I proceeded to go out and buy the soundtrack, which I haven't stopped listening to this whole weekend. I borrowed a friend's copy of the book to read and loved it, so now I have to get my own copy! I strongly urge everyone, whether you have experienced the film or not (and if you haven't seen it, what planet are you on?:)-ha!, to definitely read this book.
Rating: Summary: See the movie, read the book. Review: I've seen the movie 5 times already. After reading the book, I always discover something new. Wonderful is not strong enough to describe it. So, read the book and go see the movie again.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful, like nothing i ever seen my whole life! Review: This wonderful movie touched my heart in so many ways. The great acting by DiCaprio and Winslet helps so much also. The great chemistry between the two makes the movie explode.
