Rating: Summary: Nothing Better Review: I love the movie Titanic!!!!!! The book Is also going to be as good! I am going to get it as soon as I get payed! The reason I can say its the best, is because James Camron wrote it!! He is a very good director and the effects in the movie are wonderful! I not only loved the movie because Leo DiCaprio plays in it, it seamed so real, like you were there! Its like the diaster is happing all over again! This is the most wonderful movie I have ever seen and I am defently getting it when it comes out on video!!
Rating: Summary: TITANIC IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: JAMES CAMERON MADE ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN. I HAVE SEEN IT TWO TIMES AND I AM GOING TO GO WATCH IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. YOU WILL THINK AND TALK ABOUT IT FOR DAYS AFTER YOU WATCH IT. I HAVE BOUGHT THE BOOK AND I LOVE IT!! THE PICTURES ARE EXCELLENT. MARSH DID A EXCELLENT JOB ON THIS BOOK. IF YOU ARE A TITANIC BUFF AND YOU LOVE THE MOVIE YOU MUST BUY THIS BOOK.
Rating: Summary: I just can't get it out of my mind! Review: I have seen the movie 3 times now, and i am just completely possessed/obsessed by it. I have not yet read this book, but I have read many other materials including the one by Dr. Robert Ballard on his discovery of the Titanic wreck in 1985. I also have done much research via the Titanic web ring on the internet. I guess I am captivated by the fact that this is so real. Although I know that Jack and Rose's story is fictional, I have found many parallels to reality in my readings. For example in real life, Mrs. Ida Strauss gets into the lifeboat, and then gets out of the lifeboat saying to her husband,....where you go, I go. My god, there's the basis of ....you jump, I jump. That just sends tingles down my spine. Then I recently found a documentatary transcript of a program where one of the survivors described the waters as " a thousand knives sticking in you all at once". There's the basis of the Jack explaining falling through the ice while ice fishing in Wisconsin. I mean this is fascinating to me, and I am really hooked. I have the Titanic screen saver on my computer, and everytime I hear the song, my eyes well up with tears. My husband, who does not show his emotions very much, also thinks this is a great movie. We did see As Good as it Gets last night, and yes it is a good movie, but it is no where near as good as Titanic. I will defintely be getting this book, as I just can't get enough of it.
Rating: Summary: Great Book!! Review: I loved this book and the way that it gave such an in depth look at how the movie was made. I also loved how there were so many pictures! A great book for anyone interested in Titanic and anyone who loves the movie!
Rating: Summary: The Titanic took my breath away and stole my heart. Review: I wish that people would write romance stories like this more often. When I went to see the Titanic I went with my family. The only two reasons I went were because Leonardo DiCaprio plays in it and a freind convinced me that it was a great movie to see. My freind was right, it is a great movie. Thanks for a great story and a breath-taking film James Caremon.
Rating: Summary: The greatest movie and book of all times Review: The movie encapsulated the greatest love story ever and just revisiting in your fabulous book will give me a chance to relive the show every day. This movie contains the most deepest and intense love that has ever been shown on a screen!!! Every aspect of their romance from how they met, the driving force behind Jack's desire for Rose, the first kiss, the drawing of Rose nude, the escape from Lovejoy, climaxing to the passionate and innocent love making, the decision to dock together, the demise of no lifeboats but sticking it out till the ship eventually sank, Jack's ever guiding Rose in the water ("Swim,Rose, swim") to the life-long promise that she should let her heart go on. It's the most moving love story of ALL time!!!
Rating: Summary: Awesome Book, Awesome Movie Review: I have already written in this once, but I fell that I must write again. Earlier, I was scrolling down the page, and I found a comment that I do not agree with. One movie goer and reader said that the only flaw in the movie was that Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio) had to die. I do not agree with this comment mainly because if he lived, then it would seem like a fairy-tale ending. The Titanic was not a fairy tale and I think that the death of Jack Dawson portrayed that. Many people lost loved ones on that ship, many people like Rose (Kate Winslet).
Rating: Summary: The movie that stole my heart... Review: After seeing the movie, I knew I had to learn more about James Cameron and the making of this perfect story. I have been so moved by the film. I feel this way not only because of the tradgedy itself but by the outstanding performances, the breathtaking music, and fantastic effects. I felt like I was on the Titanic, feeling their panic and their love. It was truly an unforgetable experience. This book opened my eyes to the unbelievable amount of time and energy that everyone involved put forth. I would like to thank them all for giving the world another chance to relive this story.
Rating: Summary: An action movie with a little more.... Review: When I heard of the release of a new version of Titanic I expected little more than big budget action and hammy acting. However i was most definitely pleasently suprised, although the amazing action sequences were no doubt expensive the acting was far from hammy and from Winslet especially superb. This is not only the action to the extreme one would expect from James Cameron but a love story to be parralled touching on what really went down with the Titanic. The book is an extremely interesting addition to the film and I reccomend it to all lovers of the film.
Rating: Summary: Good Book, but poorly printed Review: It's no doubt that the book is cool, except... The book is badly printed, especially for the large size photos. I can't stand the color shift, unsaturated reproduction of colors and the rough grains. Compare with the Japanese printing, it's totally unacceptable.
