Summary: This book is the funnest book I have ever done.
Review: I like this book because it made you think. It gets you hooked and you can never let go. I hope they come out with paint by numbers 2. I will definently buy it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Paint by Number is Habit Forming
Review: I too loved the paint by numbers. I was first introduced to this type of puzzle through GameBoys - Mario's PickCross. I did those puzzles over and over. Then I found this book. Once again I've done them all. I'm ready for more. But where do I find them?

Summary: Love this book - and I've found more!!!!!
Review: I, too, was first introduced to these puzzles through Games Magazine, and think they are great! I've done this book, and didn't mind the kanji and unfamiliar cartoon characters, because it increases the challenge if you can't guess what you are drawing. Although I try and ration the puzzles in my Games World of Puzzles magazines, they eventually are all solved, and I anxiously await new puzzles.

Enter the internet - there is a fabulous web site...with a large archive of puzzles to do online, with more being added every week or two. Sizes range from 15x15 to 40x40. You can choose this site in English or Japanese and it took me almost a year to do all the puzzles there. In reading the bulletin board comments there, I discovered these puzzles were also called nonograms and griddlers in the UK. They are published in the Sunday Telegraph and there are books of these available, 4 calling them nonograms, and 3 so far calling them griddlers (they had to change the name for legal reasons)....

Summary: A unique experience in pure puzzle pleasure!
Review: If you like working with numbers and doing logic puzzles, this book is for you! I spent countless hours enjoying the challenge of the 123 puzzles in this book. I hope they publish another volume soon! This book will strengthen the logic and number skills of the most experienced puzzler. It was great fun throughout the whole book and my 6 year old sister had a great time making up her own puzzles with the blank grids!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very good but slightly over-hyped
Review: In my previous review I wrongly referred to the Sunday Times. I should have said Sunday Telegraph. Sorry.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Quick to learn fun puzzles, giving hours of fun
Review: Once the simple concent is learned, this book of puzzles challenges for hours. With over 120 puzzles, you won't get bored quickly. The difficulty increases as you go, and the last 10 puzzles sure are stumpers!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Wonderful to work on while waiting in lines, etc.
Review: The puzzles in this book are great. I have made photcopies of the puzzles and worked on the copies so that I can reuse them over and over. The puzzles have kept me entertained on long trips in the car, while I have had to wait for the doctor, at the post office, etc

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Fun, but a little too easy
Review: This book is a great introduction to Pixel puzzles. If you like math and logic puzzles, you'll probably like these too. They are fun and most of the puzzles can be completed fairly quickly. If you're ready for more of a challenge, I recommend Mind Sharpening Pixel Puzzles or Perplexing Pixel Puzzles. To give you an idea of the difference, you could probably complete the entire Paint by Numbers book in the time it would take you to complete one of the more challenging puzzles in the Perplexing Pixel Puzzles book. The pictures in the pixel books are much more intricate and interesting too.

Summary: I can't put it down!
Review: Warning - extremely habit-forming! I first tried this puzzle in "Games Magazine's World of Puzzles" a few years back. Now I can't wait for the new issues so I can try more. The book provides indepth solving tips and blank grids so you can create your own puzzles. I love it!
