Summary: It was an excellent, moving book
Review: I thought her poems were very meaningful. I've all of them at least 3 times each and I only got it 2 weeks ago! I think everyone who likes poetry should get this book!!

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: a failed attempt at being "deep"
Review: As if her music isn't whiny enough she needs to put into nauseatingly immature, trite verse. That lacks in any quality whatsoever. She just throws wordsm together to put a confused foolish messagre.I only wish that for every person that bought this useless book would buy a book by a real poet!

Summary: Another Keeper
Review: Jewel never fails to blow me away. I have both of her CDs and her poetry anthology and am mysified by her talent. Whenever I am feeling down her words and lyrics console me. She is just incredible. I recomend this book to anyone!

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Jewel's work seems shallow, childish
Review: Jewel's poetry is too like her song lyrics--somewhat childish and lacking in literary excellence. Certainly her work would never have been published without her celebrity standing; it is a well-intentioned attempt at deepness and intellectualism that falls short of either. On the other hand, poetry is as much about the reader as it is about the writer, and if Jewel's audience finds her work insightful and full of hope, then perhaps it has not gone entirely to waste.

Summary: Beautiful
Review: Not only can she sing, write lyrics, write music and be the most special person in the music world (and a great speaker)but she's a wonderful poet as well she sends out good messages, she's a Jewel...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: beautiful words with real life meaning, truly heartfelt
Review: This book of poetry really speaks to the generation of girls now. The words are real from her life and that is what makes it so great. There is a poem in that book in which everyone can relate to which makes the poems real for the reader.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If i could I would give this book 10 stars. It was great!!!
Review: I thought this book was splended it seemed as though all the poems were pretty much telling about her life because I have another book of her's and I've watched interviews and It all seemed really interesting. Just as the book was!

I recommend you buy it for yourself and as a gift your friends and family will love it just as you will!

Summary: I only read one of the poems... and that was enough.
Review: The only way these poems can be done justice is if they are read my "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on late night television. She looks good, tho. I looked in the back to see where these poems were published first and - surprise!- they hadn't been published anywhere. I won't try to sing and look pretty, Jewel, if you promise not to waste shelf space with more "poetry" volumes, 'kay? !

Summary: This is an excellant and touching book
Review: I think everyone should read these poems. They are touching and are real life problems that Jewel writes about. This is a very good book and is my favorite book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: You poor, poor poets. Nobody loves you.
Review: I am amazed reading these reviews. Jewel has not pretended to be a poet, and she seems anything but pretentious. That she is now published as a "poet" has certainly inflamed the passions of the intellectually arrogant, and the insecure. There are those who seem jealous that she is both very attractive, and that she brought herself from poverty to success. Yes, granted, there are great poets and artists who languish and toil without recognition. They chose that life, and if some of them had more business sense, they would be more successful and known. I have known many artists, and writers. I am, myself, an author. But when someone like Jewel comes along - who never pretended to be a poet - and she writes down some of her rambling thoughts, some people take personal offense as if she were an Imelda Marcos. Maybe it would be better to forgive Jewel for having such fortunate physical features, and for speaking her heart. She is a young woman making her way in this world. Please do not bomb her with hate when she is clearly filled with love.
