Summary: Great!!!
Review: The most helpful book by far when it comes to putting it all together and yet, keeping if fairly simple. If there is one better I sure haven't found it! It teaches you how to build the house not how to pound nails. Theory, scales, and even riffs out of context are merely pounding nails if you don't know how to put them together. Some of the lines might be tough for the beginner from a technique basis but are easy enough if your chops are up.
With a little practice you can mix these lines all over the place and really come up with some nice solos. You'll get your money's worth and then some with this one. About ready to give up trying to play Blues? This is the book for you!

Summary: You'll Need a Tuner
Review: The riffs are great for slow blues in G. The explanations about the construction of a blues solo are obviously the voice of experience.

I have maybe twenty blues books and this is by far the most practical and can get you playing in a blues jam the fastest.

I took away a star because the CD inexplicably is missing the open-string tuning notes so that you can be sure that you are in tune with the band.

If you have a tuner, then this should be the book for you. If not, then buy a tuner and get this book.

Summary: Great Blues Book with Solid Riffs!
Review: This one is great! Unlike many blues books that contain things you would never play and that you never hear anyone else play, this book is filled with interesting, catchy riffs that sound like your favorite blues artist is layin' it down. Of all the "blues riff" books I have bought (probably 20), this is the one that has helped my lead playing the most. It is simple, direct, and filled with good licks. Buy it and don't look back!
