Summary: Avoid at any cost
Review: Although the book is written by someone who clearly loves the show and has some valuable Buffy information, it reads like a "fanzine" with little insight and generally poor writing. The author's dislike of the character of Joyce is way overboard (issues much?) and many of the "nitpicks" are actually misinterpretations. Buffy is a great show with some very nuanced acting, and deserves better than this.

Summary: This is the ultamite book for a Buffy fan.

Summary: Fine example of fans at work!
Review: Bite Me is another unofficial guide to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and it's yet another successful one.

Nikki Stafford manages to get an even balance between the show and its fans. The "World" of BtVS as much revolves around the fans of the show as the cast and crew, and Stafford mixes the two together extremely well. I was especially pleased with the section devoted to our very own Little Willow (yay, LW!) and the PBPs, which are a vital link between the fans and the programme.

This is a great book, with indepth coverage of all the cast and most of the key crewmembers, a history of Buffy on-line and key sites to visit. It also includes a rare thing, even amongst unofficial guides, a completely opinion-based episode guide! Stafford rates every episode of Buffy (but, sadly, not Angel) as she sees it personally. It makes a great topic for debate!

There are one or two minor bloopers in the book, but they are only minor, and do not seriously detract from the reading pleasure.

So, go on. Press that there button... You know you want to...

Summary: Run Of The Mill Bio
Review: Bite Me! is a fairly average bio on Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar. You get the background information on her career leading up to Buffy, but nothing revealing and it has appeared in countless other bios and is written in the dumbed down fanzine style. You also get episode reviews of the first couple of seasons but they are not enlightening. What saves this book is the info on the web sites, clubs and other stuff for fans to get involved. Also, there is a quiz and alot of color photos. If you like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Buffy and you don't own other bios on her, this book is as serviceable as any of the other bios out there. If you are really interested in the show, go with the Watcher's Guides as they are the definitive sources.

Summary: An excellent companion to the show
Review: Bite Me! provides an excellent companion to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. A 25 page biography of Sarah Michelle Gellar, a web site section, and a great episode review for the first season.

Review: Bite Me! Sarah Michelle Gellar and Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the ultimate guide to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the show's stars, providing a detailed biography of Sarah Michelle Gellar as well as bios of the actors who play Giles, Angel, Xander, Willow, Cordelia, and Oz. With tons of fantastic photos, this book is a must for all Buffy fans.

Summary: Excellent- -Outdoing All Others
Review: Coming from a reviewer that has purchased and read several "guides" to Buffy, you should believe me when I say that this is the best. Much better than either of the Watchers Guide, this book contains reviews of each episode of Buffy through Season Six, and each episode of Angel through Season Three. Each review includes bloopers from each episode which are fun to look for, as well as the writers personal highlight from each episode.

The book also has in depth biographies of the actors from both shows, as well as a 20 page summary of Buffy The Vampire Slayer's conception to its change in networks. The book also includes top websites devoted to Angel and Buffy, as well as the stars of each show. Lastly, it has a great trivia section, which is the most difficult Buffy trivia one will ever find. Anyone who is looking to learn up on Buffy, or even those who enjoy collecting Buffy paraphenalia will enjoy this book. A defenite must-have.

Summary: not all that great
Review: First of all, I needed this book for my biography project of Sarah Michelle Gellar for my english class. 3/4 of the facts in the Sarah Michelle Gellar biography I already know! And if it really IS a biography of Sarah Michelle Gellar, then make it that way!! 40 pages out of somewhat 200 pages are about Sarah. The rest were about Buffy, Episode Guide, and other casts biography.. which it didn't really help me out mucH! And also, I'm still upset about the color pictures as well, I only have about 23 pictures only! Which means that I didn't have the other 7! What's up with that?? I'm soo upset about that. And seems to be the only person with that problem.
