Summary: A fun and educational little book that needs editing.
Review: This little book covers just over a dozen games. Explanations are generally clear, with a few exceptions (e.g., the Curly Bar Ring Guide explanation is the most confusing, with poor illustrations; the Peach Basket Softball Toss explanation omits details like arc and spin; the Golf Ball Roll Race Game doesn't explain hops very well; the Basketball Shoot contains an ambiguity). The writing style is colloquial, and that's just fine with me. The joke on page 28 -- where you're supposed to look at the ceiling and then read fine print -- doesn't work and is just stupid. What bothered me the most is the lack of editing. I counted over 200 errors (mostly punctuation errors and typos, but many other categories of errors) in the second edition. (And no, I don't count things like colloquialisms and sound effects as errors.) This is a great idea for book. I'd like to see this one cleaned up. I'd also like to see more games added in future editions.
