Summary: The Guy Who Never Won Anything...Until Now!
Review: I'm one of those guys who always stood in the back watching all those other guys win AWESOME prizes for their girlfriends...until now! I just recently aquired the book "The Secrets of Amement Park Games...Revealed!" (I figured, "Heck a chance at winning for $4 I might as well give it a shot.") Shortly after reading the book I took my girlfriend up to an Indoor Amusement Park in Ohio. As I was walking around the park I came acrose that BB gan game, and me having read that great Secrets of Amusement Park book I thought, "Well let's see if this book really knows what it's talking about." I'm one who doesn't believe in sucess books so imagine my doubt... It was my first time playing this game, because I have NEVER seen anyone win this, but the prizes were BIG! $2 a try for one big prize and $5 a try would win you a Playstation. I told the guy I have never tried it (bla blah blah) and he just told me to shoot out the star. Well, since I knew what the book said to do, and I did EXACTLY what it said...A couple minutes later the star fell out!! I was in shock and looked at my girlfried and she looked at me, and then I asked the guy, "Did I win?" He said, "You tell me?" I looked at the paper and said, "It looks good!" He called the boss over and showed it to him. He held it up with another paper behind it and sure enough I WON!!!! They hung my paper up with my name and gave me the Playstation...all for ONLY $5!! I couldn't believe it, my first time playing, and I WON!!! We won 4 other HUGE stuffed animals that night doing what the book told us! The rest of the summers now I spend going to amusement parks with my girlfriend (who is now my WIFE) winning GREAT prizes and making all the other guys looking bad!! And all because of very well written book for $4. The author, Brian, rights the book just like he is talking to you and is very easy to understand. A MUST for anyone going to an amusement park and wants to walk away a HERO!! PS- I'm going to go play my playstation now!!

Summary: Fun, but poorly written
Review: Richardson gives genuine insights & background to common midway games, but the writing is about junior high school level. Example from Chapter 4: "As I was coming to the table, I noticed a guy walking away briskly. Obviously this individual didn't have that much common sense for as I looked down in his former ball hopper...I saw two balls." Why was it obvious that the guy didn't have that much common sense? Another example: At the end of the book, Richardson rates the top 10 roller coasters in America "in descending order." I know this may be nitpicking, but the list goes from #10 to #1, which is AScending order. The book is very small (only 4" x 7") with lots of blank space on the pages, but for [little money] I guess you can't expect too much.

Summary: Paid for itself on the first stuffed animal
Review: Talk about timing. The book I ordered weeks ago arrived today, as we coincidentally decided to go our first carnival of the summer. Using the trick I learned an hour earlier, I tossed the ball into the milk jug and... swoosh... it went in. So did the next three, and my 3-year-old daughter beamed as she picked out a teddy bear from the top shelf. The bear will be in the garage sale next summer, but the experience is a keeper. You could fit the learnings from this book on an index card, but it makes for a fun experience and easily covered the small cover and shipping price. -Kevin

Review: The Secrets of Amusement Park Games...Revealed is the secret to being the "Big Dog" at the carnival. This book has several insights on the popular games played at carnivals and amusement parks. Practice tips and overall knowledge on the games will be a big advantage to you and your wallet. Light reading and humor make this book great for all ages. After reading this book I was ready to rush right out to the carnival and practice my new skills and win that giant teddy bear for my fiance.

Review: The Secrets of Amusement Park Games..Revealed! does an amazing job of giving you all the tricks of the trade-in an easy to follow, light hearted manner. Richardson knows his games, and with this book, you will too! It's easy and fun to read, and will inspire even the non enthusiast to go and try his hand at that giant stuffed bear. It sparks the competitive flame, and next time the carnival rolls into town, you can bet I'll be first in line!

Summary: Best New Book To Win at those Pesky Carnival Games
Review: This book takes you step by step into the mind of the gamer, the gamee, and well....anyone else involved in the process of winning at carnival games. With a delightful humor, Richardson takes you into the carnival grounds and teaches you THE best way to start winning...or at least try!! I am pretty certain anyone who picks up this book and attempts these steps will take home a giant Sylvester! And as an added bonus, he lists the 20 best rollercoasters for all you thrill seekers!! This book is a must for game players of all sorts!! Sorta lets you turn the tables on those carnival meanies!!

Summary: I read it and won the next day!
Review: This inexpensive book is a dad's dream as well as a teenage boy's best friend. I was able to win a huge teddy bear (bigger than my nine year old daughter) on my second try using Brian Richardson's simple technique. My daughter was really in 7th heaven with the looks of awe and envy as we walked around the park. I think every child ought to experience that once in their life. Thanks Brian Richrdson!

Review: This is the 3rd book that I've read on this subject. The author gives a method (that he uses) to win each game. I would like to point out that the "carnies" make their living from people who walk up to their games thinking they can win those big stuffed animals. The odds are strongly in their favor. The best method that I've seen, is to build your own version of the game and practice until you can get it right. And this book can't help you with that. I will say that the price of this book is the least expensive of the 3 that I now own. Sorry for the pessimism but that's just my 2 cents. :-)
