Rating: 2 stars
Summary: blah, blah, blah
Review: A collection of convoluted, insular, esoteric essays from a bunch of PC poindexters. You know the type; the kind who write about white male protagonists being the "hero," and they put hero in quotation marks. (I should have sensed I what I was in for right off by the lack of capital letters in the table of contents. Because capitals are the tool of the establishment!)

I could only finish one essay, "Life-like, Vivid and Thrilling Pictures: Buffalo Bill's Wild West and Early Cinema," by Joy S. Kasson, which was mildly interesting.
