Summary: Not Everything Is As It Appears
Review: #'s Company is my favorite all-time show, so I'm sorry if this review is a little biased. It was so interesting to read about the goings on behind the scenes. The cast members gelled so well on-screen it was hard to believe (and disappointing) to find out that there was so much animosity off camera. It would have been nice to read what Priscilla Barnes (Terri) had to say, but she refused to be interviewed and that is our loss. The only complaint I have is the way the episode guides were inserted throughout the interviews. It would have been better served if they were their own chapter. All in all, however, a great read for fans of the show and fans of pop culture in general.

Summary: Book is not redundant, just thorough
Review: A previous reader who really enjoyed this book said it was redundant at times. I disagree. The author quoted actors and producers on similar hot-button/personality issues to show when these people agreed and disagreed on issues and people. That's not redundant -- it's strong reporting. Sometimes that's necessary in a book such as this when understanding issues of people's personalities and egos is crucial in evaluating the bigger picture when friends become enemies and people start taking sides.

Overall, an excellent book!!!

Summary: The Best Sitcom Ever Created on TV
Review: Anyone who has watched Three's Company and other 70s and 80s sitcoms would love this book. Author Chris Mann is a Three's Company fan like many of us but he went few steps ahead to do the interview with cast and crew and did research to put it all in the form of a book. He was also interviewed on cable network E! when they made their own two hour show on this sitcom. It is sad that there were problems between the cast members, but I will not blame that on anyone; but I feel sad for Suzanne Somers, because, John Ritter and Joyce DeWitt distanced from Suzanne for an awfully long number of years. It is good to know that John Ritter reconciled with Suzanne few years before his unfortunate and sad death. Old wounds die hard and this very true when Suzanne Somers refused to reconcile with Joyce couple of years ago when Suzanne detected symptoms of breast cancer. Now John Ritter, Norman fell and Audra Lindley have gone and many actors who appeared on this sitcom have become great actors in Hollywood and TV. It is wonderful to read this book and cherish the memories and the great time many of us had watching and enjoying this show week after week. Thanks for the book Chris Mann.

Summary: Not just another book about a great show....
Review: Chris Mann did a fantastic job on this book! I entered this reading experience expecting a superficial offering of one-sided stories about the tirals and tribulations of this pop culture phenomenon known as "Three's Company". I exited feeling satisfied at the invested hours I spent in reading this book.

Chris has managed to tell the backstage story in a non-biased manner but has decided to let the stars tell their own sides, ensuring their integrity and the integrity of the book in the process.

This book is anything but a tabloid. It tells the stories from those who experienced it. No commentaries are made. No opinions are offered. Just the facts.

Includes a great episode guide that also cover the spin-offs "The Ropers" and "Three's a Crowd."

Summary: Wonderful
Review: Chris Mann's book is a must for any 3's Company fan! It's a great read! I couldn't find the book anywhere in Canada, so I had to travel 4,000 miles to the US to find it! It was well worth it!

Summary: The whole story, once and for all
Review: Come and Knock on Our Door is an amazing book about an amazing show, a detailed moment-by-moment look at 3's Company's incredible decade-long behind-the-scenes story. I've never read a TV book with more exclusive, in-depth accounts and revealing information than is packed in this very interesting read. A must buy for TV and history enthusiasts.

Summary: Meet me at the Regal Beagle!
Review: Hello Three's Company enthusiasts,

This book is the only one that I know of about this beloved 70s and 80s sitcom, and it brings back all the memories! It's filled with pictures that I've never seen before, plus episode guides to not only Three's Company, but also Three's a Crowd and The Ropers! The only problem is that Priscilla Barnes (Terri) did not participate in the creation of this book, and she was always my favorite roommate! But, get this book and enjoy it anyway!

Summary: Three's Company, too.
Review: I enjoyed reading Come on Knock on my Door... A very easy to read book of what went on behind the scenes of our Three's Company as well what went on on screen. I got so into the book that I felt like I was right on the set of Three's Company, like I was backstage and later in the audience. I also liked the magazine cover pictures and the reactions to the actors and behind the scene people and they were very detailed with the Suzanne Somers vs. Three's Company constroveries and how her co-stars reactions towards her during the 1980-81 year. I learned a lot reading this book. They also did a where are they now profile on the actors as well as their accomplishments before and after TC showing us that there is life after TC. My only disappointment is, when I ordered the book, I was expecting these glossy, colored pictures but got black and white instead, I started to rate this as a 4 for that alone, but at least this was readable. I've only read this once, but I'm sure I'll back to it in time.
