Rating: Summary: Very slow, boring, not a good read. Review: Too many elves, not enough Elminster. Having Mystra getting him out of practically every tough spot in the book after his wining lowered my impression of Elminster. Hopefully, the next book will be better.
Rating: Summary: Oho. That was good. An excellent read, Review: Very good book. The elves were surprisingly well detailed, and very well written. It's good to see a novel like this in the shelf. But... $25.99 ??? What the heck is that? Is Ed planning on retiring a little early? Gimme a break. I saw no reason why this book should be that much money. Keep these books affordable!
Rating: Summary: Great Sequel! Review: Well, I enjoyd this book.First of all, it's a great sequel of the First book (Elmister, the Making of a Mage), wich was also great. Other reason for wich I love this book, is that it represents the worst part of the elves. Were they are sown as I partialy see them (the ancient elfs at least). They are too good, for human beast with a lot of hair. Still if you like elfs, don't discard this book, becousa as it has to be, there are good elfs too, wich help El in his quest. Great book. I recomend to buy it.
Rating: Summary: Not worth it Review: With names like Aulauthar Orbryn and Eltargrim Irithyl, and about 40 other names and nicknames for a host of key characters..this book is way to hard to keep up with. The story was below average, and even the epic battles couldn't save it's let down of an ending. Ed's written better stuff.
