Summary: Hilarious
Review: Jimmy Fallon is the best cast member on Saturday Night Live, and him and his sister have callaborated for a great book. I Hate This Place is the perfect book for anybody, and especially pessimist's.

The book is broken down into six chapters. The chapters include; If you were thinking of..., When People say..., Personlal Reflections of the Pessimist, My Story, Optimistic Advice you Shouldn't Follow, and Daily Affirmations for the Pessimist.

The book will touch a funnybone in everybody. It's a great blend of humor that anybody can enjoy. I think my favorite passage in the book was "A Penny Saved is a Penny Earned....Pennies are Worthless." I hate this place is anything but that and would be a great addition to anybodies library.

Summary: What the world is really about
Review: I had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy and Gloria Fallon at the the first stop of their book signing last night. They're both very funny people (duh, obviously) and the book is hilarious. I found that I've been doing and saying a lot of what they wrote for years, so it hit really close to home. Every thing you read will make you go, "...wait, yeah!" Good job you guys!

Summary: i hate this book
Review: A small sampling of banal one-liners offered as insightful nuggets of wisdom. It's one of those books where each page contains nothing more than a single sentence fragment. It looks like the Fallons threw some loose napkin scrawls together. Now I know why the online sample pages were not available: it's a rip-off. Try Pratt's "You Are Worthless" for a truly witty and perversely uplifting look at life.

Summary: This book is hilarious, and YOU need it.
Review: All right, not just you - everyone needs it. Laughing is good and this book had my brother and I laughing to the point of unsightly drool. About 90 percent of our pages are dog-eared. I've personally recited drool-inducing parts to my parents and friends, and find myself constantly struggling not to snap book lines at the many alternative, empowered and positively annoying neighbors I have the pleasure of, like, melding energy with here in NYC's East Village. I'm all for empowerment. And whatever melding is. But I love that, in addition to taking pessimism to its hysterically funny extreme, "I Hate This Place" also satirizes the self-help craze and all of its super-duper-beluper positivity! and can-do affirmations! In fact, the Fallons include their own daily affirmations for the pessimist (personal favorites: "Tomorrow may never come" and "Today is another day, just like yesterday was"), as well as the truth behind such optimistic advice as, "A penny saved is a penny earned." ("Pennies are worthless.")

Thanks, Jimmy and Gloria. This book is well-needed, and much appreciated by me.

(Group hug?)

Summary: I would give it 10 stars if I could!
Review: This book is hilarious! The funniest book I ever read! My favorite part would have to be page 71. It's things like that that make you laugh nonstop and then people around you start to think that you're a psycho. I've actually had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy and Gloria Fallon at their book signing at Lincoln Center. It was very surreal, because I consider myself a huge fan of Jimmy and I have finally met him, I still think I was dreaming. It's a wonderful book, which is a must have! .....Hey Jimmy! You're the best! Congratulations!

Summary: In keeping with the title - I Hate This Book
Review: I won't bother to mimic the pedestrian one-liners in this book. The bottom line is, it just is not funny. I was trying to imagine Fallon running drafts or suggestions for the book by Tina Fey and others at SNL, and I can not imagine they would laugh. If they did, it would be for charity like the reaction people give when the retarded uncle is pitching his latest get-rich-quick scheme at a family reunion. These are like Steven Wright rejects. There wasn't anything biting, ironic, or even dark. Oh wait...I am geting an inspiration for another...

Don't clean up the spilled milk you are crying over, you will be spilling another soon anyway.

If that is funny to you, you will like this book. If that is funny to you, it would be in your best interest to buy a book of Family Circus cartoons or some wacky stickers to put up in your room instead of this book.

Review: Weather you're a fan of Jimmy Fallon or not- BUY THIS BOOK it is absolutely hilarious all the way through. I cannot begin to describe how perfect this book is. If you like Jimmy or Saturday Night Live, you'll love this book, and if you like this book you'll love Jimmy and SNL. I dont care who you are you will look at your life and everything u do/see people do differently. On a scale of 1-10 i gove it a 1,000,000,000! Great job Jim & Gloria, and keep up the great work!

Review: ...so that i'd at least have an excuse".That is one of the many sayings found in this book by Jimmy Fallon and his sis,Gloria. It's a short read, but you'll be laughing from cover to cover.Even the dedication is funny. My favorite chapter is Chapter 5"Optimistic Advice you Shouldn't Follow". Summary: Truly is The Pessimist's Guide to Life !!
Review: I'm a big fan of author Karen Salmansohn -- for example I love her book, 'How To Be Happy, Dammit' which is a humorous guide to happiness for pessimists. So I am very happy to discover Fallon & Fallon's 'I Hate This Place' -- it is nice to find something new to enjoy. I feel that it is especially important for pessimists to find opportunities to laugh, even if with ironic or sardonic overtones. And Fallon & Fallon's book will make you laugh; they are extremely, deeply funny. There is something to be said for 'serious' books about pessimists and pessimism, such as 'The Positive Power of Negative Thinking' but I think humor is required for life as a pessimist (or cynic). So I recommend 'I Hate This Place' for what it is -- the truly funniest version of a Pessimist's Guide to Life. Fallon & Fallon are gifted humorists.

Summary: Take it as a grain of salt...it's all good...
Review: I truly believe this book was made for me, the natural born pessimist that I am. If you're a pessimist too, you need this book. As if being a pessimist is a bad thing...please. You can feel loads better about yourself though, after reading Chapter 6, "Daily Affirmations for the Pessimist." And who wouldn't laugh at the following line: "I sometimes go to parties and steal other poeple's drinks, in hope that someone put something in them." Enjoy, laugh, and read it again.
