Rating: Summary: Some images make you question reality Review: This book is amazing. I have always been fascinated by optical illusions, but some of the pictures in this book are incredible. It is a rare occasion when the contents of a book cause you to question your definition of reality, but for some of these images, you think twice about what you see. Circles that don't look like circles, lines that don't look like lines, rectangles that don't look like rectangles, circles, lines and rectangles that exist only in your mind and shapes that cannot exist, yet appear right before your eyes. My favorite images are those of impossible shapes, viewed from one angle, they appear to exist and you begin to question whether the shape is indeed impossible. However, when examined from another angle, you can see that it really doesn't exist. In many cases, the anatomical, physical, physiological or psychological reasons for the interpretation of the image are explained. Some of the pictures have hidden features, and solutions to those problems are given in the back. Once I started reading it, I didn't put it down until I was done.
