Summary: In-depth doesn't even begin to describe this book
Review: Without prior knowledge of the Punk movement in Britain in the 1970's, Jon Savage's "Englang's Dreaming" was informative, engrossing, and an inspiring piece of historical analysis. After finishing it (and it is long and jammed full of information), it took days to reflect upon what an accomplishment this book was. Part fanzine, part primary source, part historical text, "England's Dreaming" is necessary reading for anyone interested in the origin of music today.
