Rating: Summary: A must have for the ultimate simpsons fan Review: 13 yrs old from SD,CA This book is the ultimate fans guide to the Simpsons. Being a big fan, this book is one of my favorites. It covers from the early years as the shorts in the 80's to now. It tells who does the voices and it highlites the guest stars. This book also tells some of the jokes you might have missed. And also those infomus chalkboard jokes at the begining.I give this book five stars.
Rating: Summary: You Would Have to be a Simpson's Fan to Understand. Review: The only show I watch is the Simpson's. True! If you know someone like this, they will love this book. I watch the reruns with the book just to make sure I caught all the references. Tons of fun for that Simpson fanatic.
Rating: Summary: If the Simpsons aren't on TV, read this for 30 minutes. Review: This is THE greatest Simpsons book ever! I own "Bart's Guide to Life", "Bart's Heebi-Jeebie Hallabaloo", "Bart Man: Best of the Best" and "Simpsons Forever" and out of all these, this book is the best. If you're gonna buy a Simpsons book, buy this one. It has the plot, main jokes, pictures, and the chalkboard gags of each episode in seasons 1-8. This great book also has a bunch of fact about EVERY character (that's over 150 characters), the dialoge and story of every "Icthy and Scratchy" episode ever, a list of every couch gag during the theme song, the stories of all the Simpsons shorts, a list of every time Homer has said "do'h" and "mmmmmm", over 700 jokes from all the episodes, and much, much more. So go buy it. NOW! GO! Stop reading this and go buy it! STOP READING! GO!!!
Rating: Summary: A Must-Have For Any True Simpsons Fan Review: Being a die-hard Simpsons fan, I bought this book as soon as I saw it. It is a great companion for most Simpsons episodes. Although there are many more episodes that were made after this book was published, it covers most of the episodes. Aside from just an episode summary, it comes with little extras like quotes and how they take certain things from movies. This makes it extra special, and should have a place in every Simpsons fan's heart-er...bookshelf.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: This book covers every Simpson episode made through season eight. Many would say that this was the most productive time for "The Simpsons". In this guide, you will learn about many of the characters and guest stars that have appeared on the show, as well as quotes, facts and little known details for each of the shown episodes. Also learn about the first appearance of people like Professor Frink and Hans Moleman and various spoofs of movies, books or other television shows that have been done on "The Simpsons". But no matter what, you will read this again and again. A few of my favorite episodes (Covered in the book): "Marge versus The Monorail", "A Star is Burns", "Whacking Day", "Lisa's Rival", "Homie the Clown", "The PTA Disbands", "Two Bad Neighbors", "Homer's Enemy", "Deep Space Homer", "Mr. Plow", "Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming", "Homer the Great" "Bart of Darkness" and Treehouses of Horror II and III.
Rating: Summary: The best Simpson's Book Ever!!! Review: I'm a huge Simpson's fan...and this book is a must have for any die-hard fan. It's got so much information, it's incredible. I love the "What you might have missed" sections. It's a great reference book, too. Anytime you think, "What was that guy in that episodes name?" "What was that quote Bart had?" "Which episode was that?"... you can find it in this book. It makes a great gift, too!!
Rating: Summary: A must have! Review: "The Simpsons: A Complete Guide to Our Favorite Family" is a must have for any fan of The Simpsons. It is loaded with episode information, inside jokes, quick gags you might have missed and abundance of quotes. It is great to have handy while watching the show, but it is equally fun to just thumb through; surprisingly, the Simpson family is almost as funny in synopsis format as it is on TV. Furthermore, this isn't just some cheap volume thrown together to make a quick buck. It is printed on high quality paper, in full color, and the stills from the episodes are beautifully rendered (not like the grainy images you frequently see in TV and movie tie-ins). Also, while it may not seem significant, each episode is described using standardized "blocks" (synopsis, Stuff You May Have Missed, etc.) so it is very east to quickly find information about a specific episode. Finally, now that each season is being released on DVD, this book becomes even more useful as it acts as a companion piece to the discs. This book is great fun, high quality, and a must have for any Simpsons-a-holic. Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: At last an authoritative guide! Review: This book contains synapses of the episodes starting with the beginning and brief biographical sketches of all our favorite characters as well as guests to the show. It also has pages dedicated to such banter as "Homer says 'D'oh!'" where we see every instance in which--you guessed it--Homer says "D'oh!" A must have for any major fan of the Simpsons series.
Rating: Summary: A Fairly Complete Episode... Review: The Simpsons have been a part of prime-time televison for over a decade now. This encyclopedia worthy book is basically the companion novel to the first 8 seasons of the seasonly classic. Within it, you'll find so very much information, the book pretty much lives up to its title as it is essesentially the "complete guide." Each episode is summarized, has the couch gags, the blackboard gags, Homerisms, and D'oh so much more. The book overall provides for an excellent read and is worthy of placing on your coffee table. The read is easy and provides a lot of insight into the show we all love so much. Pick up the book, because "it's the right thing to do," as a Simpsons fan, in the words of Wilfred Brimley.
Rating: Summary: Very entertaining! Review: This guide to The Simpsons is incredibly comprehensive and entertaining. Included are lists of everything from guest stars to Bart's chalk board writings. Its episode guide manages to point out things that even the most avid fan probably missed. Very amusing and fun! Be sure to buy its sequel so that you're not missing any seasons.
