Rating: Summary: A humorous guide for assertiveness training. Review: A quick, easy-to-read, guide for assertiveness training. A great how-to book for women who are tired of being walked on and unsure how to appropriately proceed. A true to heart laugh on every page.
Rating: Summary: Humor and power work well together Review: As a thirtysomething woman who grew up with a drive for (and assumption of) success, but without prescribed rules of behavior on how to achieve it, I found the advice in this book invaluable. It's not about artificial constructs or the use of manipulation, but about how honesty and humor are the tools to make jobs and relationships really work. I've given it to more than a handful of friends and relatives, female and male.
Rating: Summary: Where's the Bitch? Review: Hilts has a long way to go before getting in touch with her inner bitch, and from the advice in this book, it's the blind leading the blind.First, I strongly agree with the reviewer who stated that constant parroting of the mantric, "I don't think so" lends oneself to further nagging. A true Bitch (or Bastard) knows that demanding, insensitive people need something more like "Get stuffed!" or at the very least, "Fugghedaboutit." Second, caveat emptor: This is not a self-help book, but it could be classified at the very least as "light entertainment" or "an amusing bathroom read." ...
Rating: Summary: wow! Review: i feel i am such a bitch now! I looooooovvvveee this book! Few books have made me feel this way. Recommend to anyone!
Rating: Summary: A great feel good book for all of us bitches. Review: I gave this book to my mom, all five of my blood sisters, my step sisters, my daughter and daughter-in-law, and my sisters-in-laws. We all suffer from toxic niceness and it's time to stop! Humor is truely the best medicine and the laughter has helped my Inner Bitch deal more kindly and honestly with my husband, father, brother, son and son-in-law.
Rating: Summary: Humorous and Helpful Review: I have always been a victime of "toxic niceness" and afraid to say no to anyone. After reading this, I realized that it is ok to say no and you don't have to be nicey nicey to people that are mean and hateful. You can't please everyone no matter how hard you try and you don't have to put up with someone treating you like a doormat. After reading this, I am much more confident in standing up for myself and to say "I don't think so"

Rating: Summary: Very enlightening...how wonderful the inner bitch can be.. Review: I have spent my whole life being nice and worrying about what other people think. It's nice to finally see that it's ok to say "I don't think so", to the people who take advantage of you. Toxic niceness is definitely something that has to be stopped. It's time women stand up for what they want and what they don't want. I loved the book...

Rating: Summary: Great fun! Review: If you want to validate what you've always believed, i.e. being a doormat is NOT your goal in life, then this book is for you. Funny, although sparce with the anecdotes, it makes for a good belly laugh every chapter or so.
