Review: Phil Coulter is a master! This book is an excellent collection of his own original piano pieces and arrangements of traditional Irish tunes. Especially enjoy playing "Flight of the Earls" "Steal Away"and "Mary from Dungloe" For interesting variation, take the c and g sharps out of Dungloe's key signature and play the notes straight as though the piece was in the key of G, turning it into a hauntingly beautiful minor sound. I admire Phil Coulter greatly and this is a great collection for the amateur pianist. Buy it! (Watch out virtuosos-not very challenging music, but it doesnt need to be; it's glorious!)
