Review: When I think about the images evoked by a reading of Shep's "Wanda Hickey's Night of Golden Memories : And Other Disasters," I know that my son will enjoy this book as much as I did when I first heard the stories about the Old Man, Ralphie, Schwartz, and Flick. This is a must read for anyone who ever managed to navigate though the tempest-tossed waters of childhood. The next time you order a drink at the Red Rooster, understand that a "double bourbon" is not a brand of bourbon. THIS IS A CLASSIC!

Review: When I was in college I used to read this book whenever I got depressed. It produced instant belly laughs when opened. My paper back copy actually wore out over the years. I had to keep taping it together or I would risk losing a page or two.It relived depression better than Prozac.
