Rating: Summary: Everyone who condemmed this book....get over yourselves!!!! Review: I'm a radio announcer, and used this book as a basis of an on air discussion...it was great! This is a light hearted, humorous read with a tinge of psychological truth (for women too, guys). I would recommend it to anyone, and to everyone with a "pc" stick stuck up their...lighten up! There are much larger battles to be fought. This book should gives everyone a chance to poke a bit of fun at society, and just have a good laugh.
Rating: Summary: Keep your man on a short leash Review: If you want a serious self help book to help you over a break up, this isn't it.If you want to seriously laugh your hiney off, nab this book! I got this book as a gift, after a particularly nasty break up had left me quite down in the dumps. I read it, and laughed myself silly! With slick artwork, and smart and funny one liners, this book is a total joy for anyone who's had man problems. The comparisons of men to dogs is so uncanny it's truly funny. My favorite? The bit where it quips: "if your dog runs away, do not chase after it, it will only make him run faster, instead, dangle a colorful plaything in his face, he will come running back". The illustration to this one liner is a woman dangling a colorful piece of lingerie in a man's face. As I said, serious self help it's not, but you know what they say, laugher is the best medicine. Read this book, especially with a best girlfriend, laugh yourself silly, and cheer up. Men are like buses, another will be by in fifteen minutes.
Rating: Summary: an offensive book Review: My husband and I were not impressed with this book.We found it offensive in its references to men as "dogs." Books like these are supposed to be funny, but i find it hard to see amusement in a book that is clearly prejudicial toward men.We think this womans books should be boycotted because of their degrading remarks about men.Women like the author need to find better ways of dealing with their unconscious resentment or hatred of men besides writing books like this. After all,if men wrote similar books about women, what would happen? The books would be removed from bookstore shelves or severely censored.Case closed.
Rating: Summary: Great Gift Book! Review: This book doesnt "deliver" as a serious work, but I never expected it to do so. It's a well- written, well-illustrated book that makes an excellent fun gift. The text includes many accepted dog training tips while the clever illustrations reflect a man in lieu of the dog. Don't buy this for yourself, unless you just enjoy laughing -- buy it as a gift and read it before you wrap it up!
Rating: Summary: COME ON, GUYS (and gals), LIGHTEN UP! Review: This book is a wonderful dramatization of all that Mars/Venus, battle-of-the-sexes, alleged-hopelessness-of-relationships stuff. Read it, laugh, maybe get just a tiny bit more insight into that stuff, and whatever you do, don't take it too seriously. Ever heard of stand-up comedy? Well, this is a stand-up book.
Rating: Summary: This book had me in tears (of laughter that is) Review: This book is absolutely hilarious! This book is all fun so if you're looking for a real self help, don't take this one. I also have dogs so reading it made it all the more funny. To the guys out there, you gotta take this in fun as I'm sure there are other books out there poking fun at women (i.e, women - can't live with them, can't kill 'em vs men - can't live with them, can't play mind games without them :-) ). I really enjoyed this book so if you just want a good laugh or some cheering up, pick this one up, it's worth it.
Rating: Summary: totally hilarious Review: This book is an absolute gem! It is simply hilarious and often so true it is scary. Of course this does not apply to EVERY man in the world, but lets face it, some men can be real dogs. If you are feel the need to be self-righteous about how belittling this book is to men, then you are either 1)a man or 2)a woman who involved with a saint. I think the author should write one called "The care and maintenance of the woman in your house, secrets of professional cat handlers", it would be a riot!

Rating: Summary: Don't let this book fall into the wrong hands! Review: This book is scary because these dog-training techniques would work very well on me and most men I know. Men should unite and buy this book -- let's take it off the shelves before the women find it!
Rating: Summary: an awful book with an offensive title Review: This book was so stupid,i couldnt stomach it for more than 10 minutes.Books like this that degrade men are a bore to me,not funny.I dont know why there arent books like this written about we women, god knows we have our faults too, though we seldom admit it.As a woman that likes and appreciates men,I just couldnt see the humor in this book.Ladies, lets quit bashing men in these books, because they have to put up with us too!
