Review: Most how to books for "beginners" are laced with technical jargon that only someone with a working knowledge of the subject could understand. Not so with this book. I have no knowledge of the guitar and can actually understand this book. A must buy for the beginner.

Summary: fine as far as it goes
Review: This is fine as far as it goes, but if you really want to learn folk guitar, for example, I recommend the Jerry Silverman books, or if, on the other hand, you really want to learn classical guitar, I recommend the Aaron Shearer books. Certainly consider acquiring a good teacher, especially if you've never studied another instrument.
