Summary: Rocket Fuel for Your Chess Thinking
Review: "Winning Chess Tactics" immediately improved my game not by conveying complex theoretical ideas, but by training my eyes and brain to find patterns of opportunity and danger with less effort than I imagined. Not a discourse on the ideas behind the pieces, "Winning Chess Tactics" is rather a training tool to help you avoid traps, blunders, and make the best advantage of both when the time comes.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent book on the art of tactics!
Review: This is a great book. I loved reading it. The author is an excellent writer and knows how to explain things. I liked a lot the many tests included in the book and especially the tests of the last three chapters which were carefully designed to let you know how much you got out of the book; the tests of the last chapter were impossible to solve but trying to solve them and then look at the solutions is really an experience.

Summary: This book is great, fun and really helps your game!
Review: This book is great for almost anyone who can understand chessmoves, It steps up from a the simple pin to how to use advanced techniques like Windmills, Deflection and the perputal attack and has you look for these to make them happen. The puzzles in the back are pretty fun too, but hard since you have no clue what to look for(but you don't get clues in real chess either so maybe I shouldn't be complaining).

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This will make you addictive
Review: The ultimate introduction to tactics and combinations. You'll find yourself actively looking for windmills, forks, double attacks etc. every time you play after reading this book. You will get better, and most of all, you'll have fun reading.

You will learn a lot of the chess players weapons, and these concepts are reinforced with MANY questions and quizes. All in all, this book is undoubtebly an excellent choice for the aspiring chess player

Summary: This should be everyone's first real chess book.
Review: This is a first rate introduction to chess at a level beyond the basic rules of the game. Everyone who is interested in chess should read this book; unless you are the next Mikail Tal, there's something in here for you. This book can help your game RIGHT AWAY.

Summary: Good Tactics!
Review: This is an excellent book! I loved it. It provided me with the material I needed along with my other book, WINNING CHESS TOURNAMENTS FOR JUNIORS.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Helpful
Review: This book teaches you basic chess tactics. I think it is a very helpful read for players that are just starting their chess development. I contains all the needed tactics and gives you a good overview of how they can be used and when to look around for them.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Middle of the Road Tactics Book
Review: I understand why many of the reviews made by lower rated players (under 1200 players) find some of the tactics in this book beyond them. The author, a fantastic player, caters to stronger players. To this end, this book does a good job. If you are not rated over 1200 consider getting a more simple tactics book like "Winning Chess Tactics for Juniors" or "Winning Chess Tournaments for Juniors" by different authors, but both well designed for players under 1400 with lots of tactics.
