Summary: I played "Super System" and won $2700
Review: This book is well written and makes good sense. I played the "Super System". The Super System allows you to wait out cold dice while capitalizing off hot rolls. I watched many players lose their bank rolls during cold spells, while I lost just a little. Be prepared for scrutiny from the older dealers, but remain true to the system and you will win. I won 7 out of 8 sessions. The one session that I lost, the dice were incredibly cold and never warmed up. Even the 5-count method could not help that. Typically, within two hours there will be a "hot roll". I can't recommend this book enough. Buy it. Learn the "Super System". Play it religously and you will win $.

Summary: Great Information and Great Fun Too!
Review: This is the first book by Frank Scoblete I read (the second is his Captain's Craps Revolution which I am also reviewing). The book introduces you to the Captain a man who has created several very unique methods of playing craps. The book is really very informative and has much to offer. Craps players should learn the 5-Count because this will definitely save you a lot of money when you play. You can read this book without needing to read Scoblete's second book but the two of them make a great one-two punch against craps. I think this Captain must be a genius.

Summary: Quite different approach to playing the game- works wonders
Review: When I first reviewed the book, I felt that the book kind of rambled. I believe that the book must be read a few times to understand the subtle approaches to the game. The 5-count and doey-dont method works and works well. It is necessary to understand that in gambling you can have a losing streak. The book made a suggestion to keep track of your dollars, and if you are losing a few times without a win, walk away or go to another table. Conrol of the money and the game belong to you. I have practiced the 5-count and doey-dont on a computer and the system works. I am talking a boat trip shortly and will try the system aboard ship. I would recommend the book to my friends.

Summary: Great Techniques - Used 5-count with computer - great result
Review: The 5 count was very supprising to me. I wish there was another way you could play the odds without going through the come/don't come. I have played using many different computer programs and find the results very satisfactory. I ran one series where all I got was the seven after taking the odds, but the game is called GAMBLING and on occassion you lose. The real trick is to remember to walk away. When playing on a computer there is no real fear of loss, but in the gambling halls, it is imperative to know when to walk away even if there is a loss. The book could show the calculations for the return of your winning. All the books show the odds, but how to figure the winning, is not shown. I like more pictures because it is easier to learn techniques. This would be much more useful when explaining the other options on betting. The technique for handling your winnings and splitting up your playing money is very interesting. There again by using a pictorial, these methods would be more fulfilling. Within two weeks I'll be gambling for 12 days on a ship. I hope to come home a winner. Thanks for the techniques.

Summary: Techniques are good, Need more pictures, Book too boring
Review: The 5 count and doey dont techniques work. Patience is the key to winning. I tried the techniques using computer games and the amount of actual play for money was small. I found that only when the "hot roll" came did I make some money. It beats other techniques that I have tried. The real only loss is after you place the odds and a seven comes up immediately. If you get a hit on any number and then take down the odds, you will win much more. The book need more pictures to explain the techniques and the book was boring talking about the crew. In my opinion this should have been left off.

Summary: Frank Scoblete is my favorite gambling writer.
Review: Frank Scoblete is my favorite gambling writer. Sklansky,Malmuth, and Wong are probably superior mathmeticians and theorist, but Scoblete can write cirles around them. In other words, reading his books don't feel like work. This book is no exception. It is packed with solid information and thoughtfull ideas. And there is a system in this book for any bankroll. The only exception I take to the book is the idea that the Captain invented the do-don't. Barstow wrote about the same concept in Beat the Casino. He dismissed it though as do I. It garners only 3 pennies on $100.00 advantage(over pass/come bets) and is much more difficult to track, leading to costly mistakes. Still except for Braindead Craps, Scoblete's book is my favorite.

Summary: Craps Money Maker!
Review: Never played the game until I finished this book. Went to Vegas, gambled for a week and won big on craps. The system presented in this book works, and works well. However, the system taught is very unconventional and does raise some eyebrows. The book is written as a narrative and I found that more easier to read than some of the basic "how to" books. Recommended for someone interested in playing a little more serious than most. Definitely two thumbs up!

Summary: The Best Craps System ever invented
Review: I have used the supersystem for the past 7 months and I have been an overall winner in the game. Patience is the key to the whole system, and I believe that very few people have the patience to use the system effectively. But for those who do, this is a VERY worthwhile book, explaining how to play a near even game with the house, and even without playing the system, the 5-count is a good tool to keep players from losing their money on cold tables. I give the highest praise to this book, as I am proof that the system can make you a winner in the "unbeatable" game of craps!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Not For the Limited Bank-Roll Player
Review: I was disappointed to see that the book's "SuperSystem" is really designed for those willing to risk a sizable bank roll...not for the average person that makes it out to Vegas once or twice a year.

However, his "5-count" philosophy is a gem. I have run computer simulations using his "5-count" strategy in combination with place bets on the 6 & 8 and the "5-count" has proven to save you at least $100 dollars for every 300 rolls.

Summary: If you want to gamble & WIN, follow this book!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: As a rated craps player I can understand the logic with Frank's "Captain's" method of play. A novice or recreational gambler probably won't see the benefits of his play. His comments about methods and patience are proven winners with any craps system. You can only expect to beat the house in squirmishes & will never win the war against the house, don't try. This is an easy read, pay attention & the reader can & will win. I already have.
