Rating: 5 stars
Summary: My best chess book
Review: This collection of annotated games (most of which were played by the author in Russia in the 1980's and 1990's) reminds me of the book Attack and Defense (1998) by Dvoretsky where emphasis is placed on decision-making through both concrete analysis of the position, and the use of intuition. Its perfect for players who want to improve without memorizing alot of nonsense about endgames- here its your chess middlegame SKILLS that get a work-out (and which make you a real chess player), not your ability to memorize openings or play like some kind of internet slob.
