Review: I don't know! I have become a fan of Matt and Ben after seeing the movie, good will hunting.Some people don't like the movie because they don't understand the movie and the intrisic (inside)meaning of the story, but think about yourself as a guy who are afraid of everything(esp. new people, because you are unsure about them and you are really afraid you will get hurt)but you want appreciation from other(there is why he writes equation on the blackboard of Harvard University), you may understand it better! Lots of contradiction in the story made it more interesting. But don't forget the story background, South Bostan, is also the part of the story. Matt and Ben made fame after the movie. It beat other experienced screenwriters to get the best screenpaly price. So, it is brilliant. the screenplay also have something that the movie doesn't have. If the movie break your heart, the book will also break your heart.

Review: I had trouble watching Good Will Hunting because English is not my mother tongue and there was no sub-title in my language at the time I was watching. This book helped me understand more of the movie. I love the book as much as the movie as it is the original success in itself even before being made into the motion picture. Although the plot is quite a cliche, the bits of ideas are interestingly different.It is well written. Each character is so alive and substantial. It's funny, touching, and inspiring. If you watch the movie, don't miss the book.

Summary: As someone who can identify w/ hero, I loved it!
Review: I have lived my life thinking that as a gifted person, I owed it to people to make intellectual use of my gift without thinking of my own emotions or how I wanted to live my life. This film showed me that people are fulfilled by living the way they want too, not by pleasing editors of Mensa. I hope it isn't too late to discover the self within myself ; savor my friendships, although those people may not be blessed {or cursed}with my "gift" ; and go for what I want, like Will. Anyone who "doesn't get" GWH should obviously rethink their views.

Summary: Classy production, just like the film.
Review: I like the packaging of this nice little book. With the popularity of the film, someone might have been tempted to make a handsome profit by padding up the screenplay with glossy photos and selling the thing for $25 a shot. But for less than $10, this is a nice read and a great treat for fans of the movie. Everything is tastefully done, starting with Van Sant's thoughtful introduction. For film students, reading the script and comparing it with the final product on screen is a great lesson in film-making that money can't buy. In many scenes, the difference between the screenplay and the dialogue in the film is just a few subtle words ("That's a SUPER philosophy, Will" as opposed to "That's a WONDERFUL philosophy, Will")that make all the difference. I even like the black-and-white photos placed in just the right spots throughout the book. Classy all around.

Summary: A Screenplay That Deserves Its Oscar!
Review: I loved the movie, and after seeing a blurb on the poster that said "Read the book," I rushed to Amazon Books to find the book. Sure enough, I did, and enjoyed it. I'm so glad that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have become so successful, as they deserve every bit of their success. I'm looking forward to another Oscar win, maybe in the acting category, and more wonderful films from the two.

Summary: Matt and Ben= Pure Genius!!
Review: I LOVED this movie. I saw it 8 times and it completely deserved best movie of the year. It was a charming, witty, hilarious movie that kept my interest all 8 times. Then.... I saw the screenplay for sale on Amazon and I had to have it! The book is just as excellent as the movie! I've already read it once and I'm planning to read it as soon as I'm done with this review. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck are pure genius at work!

Summary: The Academy got it right this time!
Review: I loved this movie: saw it four times. But the screenplay is even more incredible, and it is blatantly obvious how talented these two writers and actors are. Seeing the movie enhances the screenplay, as ad-libbing is major and the hilarious stories are even funnier. Even without the movie, this is a fine piece of work and it deserves to be enjoyed by all who would hold it with as high esteem as it deserves. Enjoy and good luck Matt and Ben!
