Summary: PS/Banality
Review: If you find "Ziggy" too intellectually challenging, this is the ideal book for you.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A nice little read - nothing spectacular
Review: If you like his column you'll enjoy this book. It's so small, however, it's really more like a large brochure.

Summary: Banality in the Extreme
Review: What? Why can't I give this book ZERO stars? Or perhaps negative 14 stars?
The author has been praised for his presentation of everyday life. How misguided. Wilson manages to take everday life and, well, suck the life out of it. He takes the trivial and makes it banal. Also, trite. Insipid, dull and sometimes inane, too.
Other than the tiresome theme of "things aren't like they used to be (sigh) and I'm cutely miffed about it," this is the work of a writer with absolutely nothing to say.
Like Wilson's USA Today column, this book is a waste of space.

Summary: Such a Sweet Book...
Review: Within the first few pages I was hooked. In a world where you open the paper and read,"Death...Murder...Death...Anna Nicole Smith...Murder..." this is such a comfort! Yes, it IS the little things. I WANT to read more about pumpkin patches, cotton sheets, apple cider... If you have a friend who is under a lot of stress, this would make an excellent gift. Or, if you know somebody who fails to appreciate the fantastic things that rural life has to offer, make them read this book.
Craig Wilson could write about a McDonalds Happy Meal and make you feel nostalgic. Grab yourself a blanket,a cup of whatever's warm and snuggle in tight for a stress-free read.

Thanks, Craig!

Summary: Simply wonderful....
Review: You can hear the sound of the screen door in your head as Craig Wilson writes about the squeek it made when he visited an open house some years ago. That sound reminded him of his childhood, and the same wonderful sound that his grandmother's screen door made and in an instant you are transported back in time with Craig. He writes in such a way that you instantly feel better with every sentence. His book is a wonderful collection of his best essays from "The Last Word", his Wednesday column in USA Today. Craig Wilson is a true gem that can turn the simplest experience into one to be treasured. Whether you are having a bad day or jsut need a little perspective, Craig Wilson's book will make you smile! You know that feeling you get on an early crisp winter day when you warm up some good old fashioned oatmeal and snuggle up with your favorite blanket before anyone else is awake? Craig Wilson just makes you warm and happy all over! After reading this collection, you too will run to the news stand every Wednesday to get your Craig fix! He is just awesome!
