Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: You'll be playing songs quickly Review: This book utilizes a great concept. The cd that comes with it helps you understand how the songs should sound, which helps guide your practice. I find myself ignoring many of the suggested right hand fingerings because the thumb is used in some areas where it really isn't necessary. The songs are beautiful. This book will have you playing some nices pieces quickly.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A good reading aid Review: This is the "tablature edition" : the book alternates the lines of standard notation with lines of tablature. I suspect that some of the works have been simplified from their original form to make them easier to play. Extensive right and left hand fingerings are given on many pieces. The keys are easy, mostly C and G. Dynamics markings are used very sparingly. There are a few half-barres and a few notes on alternative strings. I found that it's just challenging enough while still being playable and enjoyable. One minor quibble: the CD tracks don't always follow the the sequence of the pieces in the book, so you may have to refer to the table of contents to match page number to CD track. It's not spiral bound, so you'll need some way of keeping it open. All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase.
