Rating: Summary: Magical not Magickal Review: Although the book is interestinging it is more folklore than new age. the book covers almost everything mention in the Harry Potter books. It is extremely interesting and a must have for Harry Potter fans and people intererted in folklore. Not very rich in Occutology but, in Folklore and Mythology.
Rating: Summary: Good Book! Review: This is a good book but it is somewhat of a gimmick. The book does cover just about everything that Rowling writes about. A dissapointing part is that it doesn't talk about Harry Potter or Voldemort. It's a nice Christmas present for Harry Potter fans everywhere. And it doesn't talk about any of the wizarding schools! It goes deep into animals and wizard items and famous people, but nothing about the wizarding culture!
Rating: Summary: Great!!!!!! Review: It's a great book that explains everything in the Harry Potter books, from Amulets to Zombies. It explains everything about the subject, and more!
Rating: Summary: A Must for Harry Potter Fans Review: From how to safely harvest mandrake root, to why owls were feared in the ancient world, this book has it all. With descriptions, info, and black and white pictures of everything magical. You'll learn that Nicholas Flammel was a REAL person, how to perform Arithmancy (one of Hermione Granger's favorite subjects), and how to read tea leaves. This is a marvelous book that all fans of Harry Potter must own. My favorite parts were the Arithmancy and Tea Leaves chapters. I have actually performed Arithmancy on many people that I know, and celebrities, and find it very fun. The charts and info are incredible. You won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Very interesting book Review: If you are a Harry Potter fan, I highly recommend this book. It combines fantasy with history. I'm actually giving this book for gift, but I was intrigued and read a little bit of the book before wrapping it up. I would actually love to get of my own copy.

Rating: Summary: Excellent Read Review: Being an avid Harry Potter fan, and lover of folklore & mythology, I simply knew I had to have this book. I finished it in one night, and I loved it. I loved reading about Arithmancy, Divination, and Astrology. Also, I found it very interesting to read about the broomstick & cauldron. It offers loads of information & facts-about everything from an Amulet to a Zombie. All in all, it was a very informative book and I would definitely recommend it to any Harry Potter and/or folklore & mythology fan.
Rating: Summary: Very informative and fascinating Review: This is an excellent book for Harry Potter fans, or anyone interested in world folklore/mythology. It's organized like an encyclopedia of every magical thing in Rowling's world that has a basis in real legend. Full of history and interesting etymologies. The authors really did their homework--the only thing which keeps me from giving it full marks is the repetition of many basic magical history things due to the nonlinear organization of the book. Certainly worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Very Informitave Review: Tis is a very handy book and one of the few that tell and explain the creatures, plants, and practices of Harry Potter. I highly recomend this book.
