Review: Don't call Miss Cleo. Get yourself this classic Tarot deck and begin finding your own answers to life's questions. Of course, I like to think of the Tarot as the "training wheels" on the bicycle of psychic development. And I purposely ignore the canned interpretations. Most of the time they are too confusing and contradictory anyhow. Just stare at the pictures and let them reveal their own story. That's the beauty of this deck. It is rich in symbolism and detail--so much so that you can look at the same card again and again and come away with a very different meaning. Of course, for the best instructions on reading the Tarot, you might also wish to purchase "Positive Magic: Occult Self-Help" by Marion Weinstein. With her book and the classic Rider Waite deck, you'll be on your way to amazing yourself as well as your friends. Sorry, Miss Cleo.

Summary: So-so reproduction, bad trademarking
Review: Having used a French deck for the last twenty-six years, I thought I would try the Rider Waite deck. When I got them, imagine my surprise and disgust when "© US GAMES" is printed on the front of each card! Though in small print, it is quite legible and very much unwelcomed. Additionally, the reproduction herein is not accurate nor is it very well done. There is an English Rider version of this deck that is *so* much better.
Pass on this version and get the English version instead.

Summary: THE ULTIMATE
Review: How can I give this more than 5 ?????Great - my first and best deck. Don't throw away tradition without replacing it with something better. And don't base your deck on it and then say it's obsolete, archaic or things like that. WHEN REVIEWING: review the item based on the item and all it's worth (Objectively) and not the other items outside it (Subjectively). The Rider-Waite-Smith deck is the best for the beginner, intermediate, advanced, expert, master, adept and whatever or whichever term you use. It's your deck. But that's my opinion.

Summary: Excellent book for beginners, not very pretty cards
Review: I found this book excellent for me... Now is the book I use to guide me when I forget some significances or I want a second opinion. The cards are not what I expected, the coloring is very dark so you cannot notice some details in the pictures, but nevertheless I use them everyday and I have learned to love my cards.

Review: I got the cards for myself for Christmas and they are beautiful! The colours are breathtaking and they are very like the original Tarot! This even comes with a divination book which makes it the ideal set for a beginner!

Summary: Okay for the beginner.
Review: I have been reading tarot on a constant basis for over 13 years. The Rider Waite Tarot is a very simplistic deck. Very good for the beginner. I started reading tarot at a very young age, and after only a few years I needed something with a bit more to it. If you are new to Tarot, this is good to get you started, but probably won't be your "be all and end all deck".

Review: I have had several different versions of the Rider-Waite tarot deck. I have to say that I was somewhat disappointed with the "original" deck. The colors of the cards are dull, and the cards themselves are large and awkward to handle. The accompanying book is smaller than a man's wallet, with small print. The author tends to rattle on about "secret doctrines" and really offers very little information for beginners. I wouldn't recommend this set for anyone serious about learning the Tarot. The other resources available today are much more easy to learn. I'm purchasing the CD-Rom set "Tarot Magic", and maybe with both I can refresh my skills as a reader.
