Rating: Summary: Look out--quite inappropriate Review: I hate to write a negative comment because this is basically a fun book with great illustrations. I was looking to buy this for use in my classroom. OOPS! Thank goodness I read through it first. The, "Oh, Poop" comment wasn't too bad, but the reference to grandmother's bosom, which I could live with in and of itself, comes complete with illustration. YIKES! (...)-cleavage and all! Perhaps for reading at home this would be a fun book, but not for a group of children.
Rating: Summary: Don't Buy Unless You are Willing to Read Over and Over Again Review: I NEVER write reviews of anything. This is my first one. However, after reading this book, I thought I had to. This book is great. I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old and they love it! The writing is funny, the pictures are funny, and the little comments that go along with the pictures are hilarious. After getting this book, everytime my children get grumpy, I say "What are you so grumpy about" and pretend that my fingers are a bird that lands on their lip (you have to read the book to understand) and it IMMEDIATELY causes them to smile. Now . . . that is money well spent!

Rating: Summary: Great book! Review: I ran across this book yesterday at my local bookstore. The story is very light-hearted and aimed at making kids feel "un-grumpy". The illustrations are great - very bold and colorful. I will be buying this soon for my 4 yr. old niece. Highly recommended for any grumpy kid (or adult)!
Rating: Summary: Look out--quite inappropriate Review: I was very disappointed in the "Oh Poop" comment written out to the side of the picture where the boy received underwear for a present. I was also disappointed in the suggestion that the boy had been lost in his grandmother's bosom. I guess I am just old fashioned but I didn't find either one of these things appropriate for what I want to show to my child. As a result, I returned the book for a refund. It was cute but those two things in the book offended me.

Rating: Summary: turns grumps into giggles Review: This book has a great story about not feeling grumpy about stupid stuff, and laughing at one's troubles. It is a great way of getting a kid to stop moping about, feeling sorry for themself. I would recomend this book as a way of making kids feel good about being happy. And the pictures are a stich!
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book Review: This book is hilarious for young children and adults. My 6 year old Grump asks me to read it to him repeatedly. He loves it! The illustrations are beautiful. The inside cover with tips on curing grumpiness are an ingenious bonus to the story. As a teacher and a parent, I highly recommend this book.
