It combines detailed but highly understandable analyses of just about all the casino games, excellent strategies to beat those games or reduce the house edge, along with wonderful chapters about the author's experiences in the casinos. The section on comps is worth the price of the book alone. This is a great book.

Review: Look no further if you are looking to maximize your casino experiences with smart play and loads of comps. This book has it all. The strategies are just great and the analysis of the casino comping system is thorough and fascinating. Scoblete shows you how to get the best bang for your buck at all the traditional games and he shows you exactly how to use the comping system to get maximum and more than maximum benefit from all the freebies. The book is a great read as well because Scoblete really knows how to write. He has some very entertaining and amusing stories about his experiences that make this book worth reading in and of themselves. This is the best gambling book I have ever read!

Review: If you could only read one book on casino gambling, I would recommend that this be that one book. It covers all the games and shows you what you need to know to reducethe house edge and to get the edge at certain games. It is also very well-written and extremely fun to read.

Review: There's very little new here and much of that is highly questionable. Scanning, Wonging, or whatever you call it will get you tossed in the real world in minutes. Also, who wants to fly to Vegas for five minutes of play? Taking odds on someone else's pass line bet, while innovative, is a good way to get a facelift. Buying numbers for $38 instead of 40 to save a lousy dollar? Clipping coupons and betting opposite sides to win $5? Might as well stay home, IMHO. Biased roulette wheels? Sure--guess how they pay for all those lights. The anecdotal chapter is interesting, but Barry Meadow's Blackjack Autumn and Stuart Perry's Las Vegas Blackjack Diary are far superior examples of the reality genre. I also tired of the references to the author's incredibly beautiful, talented, and wonderful wife. In addition, there should be fewer grammatical and editing errors (e.g., cite instead of site) for a professional writer.

It is also a psychological book in that it sets up a mind-set for players to use in their battle with the casinos. However, it is also a book of the author's experiences in casino gambling and some chapters are as good as any literature ever written on casinos and gambling. The book is a great one and if you want to really get the most out of your casino gambling, then you should buy this book right away.

Review: I bought this book for strategies but what I found was that after I read it I had had such a great time that I immediately read it again. Scoblete is a dynamite writer and this book is a masterpiece. It gives you great strategies for playing the casino's games but it also delves into the mind of the gambler like no book of this type has ever done before. His chapter called "A Day in the Life of a Guerrilla Gambler" is worth the price of the book alone. I think that anyone who reads this will agree that the book is special and is one of the handful of truly memorable gambling books published in this century.
