Summary: The Dark Humor Genius of Tim Burton
Review: I was thoroughly delighted with this book. I am a hard-core aficionado of everything Burton. This book was enchanting in the typically odd, Burton way. I cannot vouch for those who are not Burton fans, but for those who are, "YOU NEED THIS BOOK." I also recommend for those who enjoy this book, read the comic book "Lenore". Anyway, three cheers for Tim!!!

Summary: If you dig Burton, you'll dig Oyster Boy!
Review: strongely recomended for Burton fans, very reminiscent of Edward Gorey only less stilted and more creative.

Summary: A step beyond the Gashlycrumb Tinies
Review: It speaks to the underlying genius of the design of American society that madmen like Tim Burton are allowed, nay encouraged, not only to walk the streets unsupervised, but to release their strange muses in little sick black books. I love Oyster Boy, and I love Jimmy, the Hideous Penguin Boy, and I _am_ Voodoo Girl. Hopefully the sad and tragic tales of Brie Boy and Junk Girl will give some of us pause. Every once in a while you need to think on and treasure the horrid fates of freak children everywhere, and smile.

Summary: Genius at work!
Review: After Beetlejuice, Batman, Vincent etc., no-one can doubt the creative genius of Tim Burton. This astoundingly simple, yet carefully created book of acutely observant, and yet child-like verse is a masterpiece. The words have not been invented yet to describe how enjoyable this book is to read. A must!

Summary: odd, yet entertaining
Review: I judged off of Tim Burton's movies before i bought the book, and, well it is better than his movies. My opinion, only, but it is terrific writing, pictures, ideas, and it lives up to my expectations of Tim Burton. Buy it, read it, love it.

Summary: The ideal book for a Burton film lover...
Review: Anyone who appreciates Tim Burton and his films will most likely find this book spectacular. It is full of beautiful illustrations and short poems, most of which involve a less-fortunate being, who, among many other possibilities, could be the result of a 'sexual encounter with a kitchen appliance,' [Robot Boy] or (my personal fave) the production of an 'old pharaoh's curse.' [Mummy Boy] It is imaginitive, a bit reminiscent of Edward Gorey, and just plain awesome if you appreciate Burton's "Edward Scissorhands" or "Vincent." So do yourself a favor, Burton fans, and buy this book!!!

Summary: The creative Tim Burton at work again, this time in books.
Review: Colorful pictures, original poems which tell the stories of clam boy, robot boy, stain boy, james, stick boy, brie boy, junk girl, and others who have been brought to life by the wonderful Tim Burton. All people who want to fit in, but can't because of their lack of various human appendanges.

Summary: The best, most morbid book I've ever read
Review: This is by far the best, most morbid book I have ever read. Not only are the characters lovable rejects, the plots themselves are ironic, funny, and well put. I would recommend to anyone that they read this book. In addition to getting a good laugh, it also raises your spirits of your own life, no matter how miserable. READ THIS BOOK!! :]

Summary: Wonderfully twisted
Review: I really enjoyed this collection of poems and also saw it as a tribute to Seuss and Gorey. "Anchor Baby" was my favorite!
