Summary: Not for those with weak bladders!
Review: The Tammys, those Mississippi belles gone bad, are back with another hysterically funny cross-section of their bigger than life lives. Just a sampling of the chapter titles should be sufficient to give you a good feel for the irreverent joy in store when you read this: My Hors Are Moning; A Pot to Priss In; What to do When the Rabbit Dies; Divorce, Dating Again, and Revirgination; Civil Rights, Body Hair, and Other Delicate Matters; and, of course, More Death-Defying Recipes. Let me just tell y'all, if you work somewhere sedate and dignified, don't try to read this there because I guarantee you're going to be hooting out loud and you might even wet your pants a little. God save the Sweet Potato Queens, God love 'em and, God willing, there will be a SPQ3 soon.

Summary: How I Got In Touch With My Own Queenliness
Review: This a must-read for every woman in America. I rushed out, bought my own tiara and am now a proud Sweet Tea Queen. Jill Conner Brown has the guts to write all the things women are thinking but are too shy to say out loud for themselves! I promise, you will LAUGH until you cry, look for the 5 men you can't live without, and finish the day with a double batch of Chocolate Stuff! Believe it or not, The Promise really works-I've seen it with my own eyes! BE PARTICULAR!!!!

Summary: The Best of the Three
Review: This book is a hoot and a holler and will be the source of much hilarity! Just don't expect your husbands to "get' the references and the jokes---this one, like all of Browne's writings, is a gift for the ladies. And what a gift it is, guaranteed to bring out a belly laugh in even the most restrained of your friends.

When life seems to be just another pile of dirty dishes, leave them in the sink and go pick up "God Bless the Sweet Potato Queens"! Oh, and remember to ditch that slogan "less is more". That may be true when we are 20-somethings, but as we get older, "more is more, and also better!" (That slogan also refers to those outrageous SPQ recipes Browne provides, which will help us get through most anything.)

On the scale from weighty and serious to frothy and insouciant, Browne is off the chart on the right hand side! Highly recommended---five stars are too few for this one!

Summary: Let's hear it for peri-menopausal empowerment!!
Review: This book is an unadulterated delight for any woman, whether she be a full-fledged SPQ, a Wannabe, or a Spud. It has a wonderful, affirming message - Be Yourself and Don't Let Anything Stop You!! This is a message we as women hear much too infrrequently and, unfortunately, usually don't fully comprehend until we hit about 50. Just think of all the time we've wasted when we could have had the world by the tail - and on OUR terms!! Move over world, 'cause we are comin' through!!

Summary: THE Queen has done it again!
Review: This is another hysterical romp with the Queens. It's inspiring, shocking, educational and above all enjoyable. Beware before you start this book--the laundry won't get done, your family won't eat--you'll simply want to loll about with the Queens and share in their glorious adventures and revel in their spot-on advice. Thank you Ms. Browne for introducing me to a whole new world filled with unforgettable characters. I loved this book and give it 5 tiaras! Long live the Queens.

Summary: Ya-Ya, Blah-Blah
Review: This is no Ya-Ya Sisterhood... thank God! Much funnier, much sassier, and a great follow-up to 'Book Of Love'. But if you're the kind of person who blushes easily, you better think twice about reading this in public.
Let me suggest another fun book that I saw recommended on a review of 'Book Of Love'... No One's Even Bleeding. (But beware, it's another one that might make you blush in public.)

Summary: The Best of the Three
Review: This one is the funniest of the three SPQ books. It has priceless moments and for even greater enjoyment, listen to the audiobook read by the author. If you are offended by language or sexual comments, then steer clear. For the rest of us, this is a highly entertaining book and very motivating to aspiring wannabes. The end is bittersweet, but life's laughter often comes from our experiences, both good and bad.
