Summary: even better than looneyspoons
Review: I have enjoyed "Crazy Plates" even more than "Looneyspoons," which I didn't think was possible. The short description of the dish given under each recipe title is really helpful. I like the cute titles, but I also like knowing what the recipe is for without having to read the entire recipe. Everything I have made so far has been a big hit with me and my husband.

Summary: Very Good yummy low-fat,
Review: I have just got this cookbook, and sure didn't need another cookbook for the shelf. I have tried some of the recipes and all were excellent! They were low fat- yet everyone enjoyed them, and we would recommend this to any family. Now the format is a bit over the top with all the little captions. The recipes titles get a little annoying- they are so silly and its unclear just what it makes. But it is still a cookbook worth having. I plan to share copies with my sisters!

Summary: crazy plates
Review: I HAVE MANY LOW FAT COOKBOOKS THAT NEVER GET OUT OF THE CUPBOARD. CRAZY PLATES WAS SO MUCH FUN TO READ THAT I READ THE ENTIRE BOOK BEFORE I EVER TRIED A RECIPE. EVERYTHING THAT I HAVE MADE HAS BEEN WONDERFUL. I THINK THAT IS EXCEPTIONAL. I MADE THE CABBAGE PATCH SOUP, CARROT CAKE AND CRAB SALAD ALL THIS WEEKEND ON COMPANY AND THEY ALL LOVED THE TASTE OF EACH DISH. YOU HAVE HELPED ME BY PROVIDING DESSERTS IN THIS BOOK SINCE THAT'S MY FAVORITE FOOD. THANKS SO MUCH FOR WRITING THIS BOOK. MY NEXT PURCHASE WILL BE LOONEY TUNES. PAT PRESSLEY

Summary: This cookbook is a lifesaver!
Review: I have never had so much fun reading a cookbook! The recipes are creative and incredibly flavorful and I never get tired of paging through the witty commentary throughout the book. I truly appreciate the detailed nutritional information (it helps me to calculate Weight Watchers points). The variety is also great. I can cook a meal for two, or for a dinner party with this book. This book helps me stay on Weight Watchers while making delicious meals that my non-dieting husband also enjoys.

This is a cookbook that I would readily recommend to anyone interested in delicious results with little time and effort.

Summary: HAVE FUN IN THE KITCHEN WITH THIS COOKBOOK!
Review: I just read an article about the Podleski sisters in the New York Daily News & can't wait to get this book! The recipe names alone are priceless & sound easy to prepare. Finally a fun cookbook written by people with a great sense of humor.

Summary: TERRIFIC FOOD AND GREAT INFO
Review: I just received CRAZY PLATES two days ago. Afer trying just two recipes, I am SOLD on this book! The food is great, it is easy to prepare, and the whole family loves it! I am on Weight Watchers and my husband is a diabetic. The nutritional information included with each recipe makes choosing good-for-us foods a breeze. The Berried Treasure muffins are already a hit at our house with just one batch! I collect cookbooks, and this one is bound to become one of my most used. You can be sure I will be buying LOONEYSPOONS, also by the Podleski sisters, too

Summary: Great Low Fat Cooking
Review: I love this cookbook. I am in the process of really trying to revamp the way my family eats and this cook book, as well as Looney Spoons, is a huge hit. I have tried numerous recipes and all have been a hit, including several I used at parties where everyone asked for the recipe. The Less-On-Ya Lasagna is a fabulous, veggie loaded dish that is really good. I really like these recipes because they don't use a lot of fat free cheese or sugar free items. Those are things I call fake foods and I am not fond of low fat cooking that relies alot on those. I prefer recipes like this that add vegetables and seasonings to give the food flavor. The goofy jokes and stuff are OK, but the recipes are fantastic, easy to cook foods that your family will love.

Summary: A Great Cookbook - AND Entertainment
Review: I received this cookbook as a Christmas present, although it was not on my list. At first it seemed like a "cutesy" type book with the same-ole same-ole receipes with different funny names to them. Like Tickle Me Elbows (tuna noodle casserrole); Forrest Gumbo (shrimp gumbo) and Sammy Salsa (mango salsa). BUT, this cookbook is a whole lot more.

The receipes are truely lowfat, easy to make, usually with normal ingredients found in a normal kitchen. They are easy to read and follow AND they turn out very tasty!!

Best of all, the cookbook is very entertaining. I've actually sat down and read the entire book!! There are tips for each receipe. Short stories about almost everything and nice cartoon drawings that add a little flair to the whole presentation.

So now, I'm using a "Low Fat" cookbook, and I had always thought it was going to be just bland food, rather than the GREAT food out of this cookbook. Highly recommend it for all!!

Summary: Update - 142 pounds lost and still going
Review: I wrote a review of this great cookbook in April when I had lost 73 pounds, using this book among other things. I just wanted to update everyone that I am still with the diet, eating 2-3 of these recipes for dinner each week, and now have lost a total of 142 pounds. I still have a few more to go, so I'm sticking with it. This book will make maintenance much easier - it has lots of great tasting and easy to prepare ideas that we have used to create our own dishes as well.
