Summary: Easy, healthy and delicious
Review: I have tried many of the recipes in this book and have yet to find a dud. The pistou soup is warm and filling; the rubber chicken is easy to prepare, delicious, and frugal; and I have never made an easier or tastier pizza crust than the Kneadless Pizza Dough. Even my picky family has raved over everything I've prepared from this book. Leanne's style is unpretentious and her advice is practical. I had to get over the need to have exact measurements (she occasionally refers to using a 'blob' or a 'little bit', basically relying on you to adjust for your own tastes). It is well worth the time to read the first chapters about general nutrition, written in an easily understandable form and chock full of important advice. Her chapters on food allergies and eating disorders could be lifesavers. This cookbook has quickly become the most favored one on my shelf, and I'm sure I'll have to get another one eventually because this one will be tattered and covered with food stains. It's that good.

Summary: Delicious and Healthy Too
Review: I love this cookbook and I just got it. All the recipes are not only healthy but things you would actually cook for your family. I just made the Double Duty Chicken and it couldn't have been easier or more delicious. The hamburger soup is also great for a quick dinner that your kids will actually eat. The recipes are all real simple with not too many ingredients. Don't you hate when you find a recipe you like and it has 20 ingredients in it and takes 2 hours to make? Well, none of those in here! Great cookbook if you're trying to cook healthy meals for your family.

Summary: Down to Earth Nutrition
Review: I loved Leanne Ely's new book. I read it like a novel. It was easy to understand with it's common sense guide to nutrition. Leanne is writing for the everyday Mom and woman (men too) who needs a better knowledge of eating healthy foods. There is a lot of information for helping children eat healthier foods and enjoy them. The receipes are for people with basic tastes and pantries. She even gives a list of items to have on hand in your pantry.

Thanks Leanne for a well written and easily read book.

Summary: LOVE THIS BOOK!!
Review: I really love this book. It is written from a Mom's point of view, but also from the viewpoint of a nutritionist. The recipes are easy to make and even easier to eat! (So far, so good with our four and two year old girls!) Also love the author's sense of humor! You won't be sorry to have this as part of your cooking library!

Summary: Good Book - needs some editing
Review: I really REALLY like this book. Most of the recipes are wonderful...some aren't. But the book is worth its price for the ones that are, and for all of the good information. The recipes have a break down of nutritional facts, but I have noticed that some of the computations for the amounts of proteins, carbs, and calories etc. are WAY off. Also, some of the recipe instructions have been unclear and/or inconsistent...(for example: "Rubber Chicken" and others) leaving guess work followed by some frustrating moments...especially if one is not keen in the kitchen. My advice....buy it, but read over and understand the recipes before diving in.

Summary: Healthy food the family will actually eat
Review: I've really enjoyed this cookbook for trying to cook healthier foods for my family. I love the "Not Your Mother's Tuna Casserole" (My mother never actually did make tuna casserole, so I never even knew I'd LIKE tuna casserole.) The Mayberry Blueberry muffins are delicious too. Lots of great real people food here!

Summary: Healthy Is What This Cookbook Is!
Review: It is nice to find a healthy cookbook I can use to cook for my family. The recipes are very tasty and my family is enjoying the new meals.

Overall, it's a great feel-good type of book. Just like my new beverage of choice called s o y f e e. It's made from soybeans that you brew just like coffee. Caffeine-free, you'll find it at www. S oycoffee.com.

I have a few cookbooks on healthy eating, but none of them have such great recipes. It's that good.
