Summary: Great guide book
Review: But I recommend you not to buy it. Golden Sun, and the Golden sun the lost age, both won't be as fun as it can be if you buy a guide book.

If you really really can't find a way? buy it you won't regret it.

Summary: Good, but could be better
Review: Don't expect too much of it. There are a lot of errors in the text and screenshots, too. Also the maps aren't really professional, as you can see Felix (or Isaac) on one map about 25X instead of 1X or 0X. Crossbone Island isn't reviewed and some special effects or logics aren't included, such as rare drops. Also, not all information (such as how many HP Dullahan - ap. 16500HP - or the Final Boss has) is filled in.
However, the psynergy- and itemguides are fine (though, I would like it, if there was a list of dropped items, weapons and armor). I think this book is nice if you like collecting Golden Sun items.

Summary: not worth buying
Review: I borowed this guide from a friend when I was having trouble on Aqua rock. No thanks to this guide, it took me three days to figue out one simple log problem because it didn't show in ful detail what to do. It shows you maps, but some of the maps are wrong and can make the game confusing. The only up side is that the weapons and items list is helpful. But if you want a quality guide, look for an online walkthrough.

Summary: Great Guide
Review: I bought the Golden Sun 1&2 guide and flipped through it. The only downside is that it doesn't help at Crossbone Isle which is only a subquest so it doesn't really matter. It shows all the Dijnni locations and talks about the summons. If you have both Golden Sun games and you want to save some money when you buy the guides just buy this one. It's great and it's less money.

Summary: A complete sham
Review: I bought this guide at a video game store a few days ago... I'm planning to return it, posthaste. Nintendo seems to have some kind of monopoly on selling their official strategy guide for Golden Sun 2, so I can't find it in stores or any sites but theirs, and it's more expensive than this, but I don't care anymore; this thing is horrible. It has the maps, which is really what I originally bought it for (I have rather horrid spacial skills and it's hard for me to create a mental image of the layout of a place based on what I see), but their layout of the rooms is so random and counter-intuitive that it almost defeats the purpose. As for the written information in the guide, I could have done a better job and I haven't actually beaten the damn thing yet. It's rife with typos and inaccuracies, and I find much more complete and accurate information on Game Faqs (I'm not allowed to put in URLs, but use your brain)-- which is *free*. I am horrified that so many stores carry this god-forsaken company's wares, and I hope to every god that's ever been even partially conceived that they get hit by a huge freaking meteor. I don't care if the entire planet's life is wiped out, as long as Prima is gone forever. It's times like this I wish I drank. Or did heroin, for that matter.

Summary: Golden Sun, from someone who knows games
Review: I had first seen golden sun in a magazine article from Nintendo Power or something like that. I thought i looked like an Ok game, so...I went out and bought it. Golden Sun is like a mix of Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda. It also provides multiplayer action. I am not the best with words, but i am only twelve. I do believe that i can recognize a good RPG when i see one though. The story starts of fast-paced and exiting. I love this game, and i reccomend it to anyone, of any age.

Summary: Good Guide
Review: It's a really nice guide, with handy list of classes, psynergy spells and items. The walkthrough is clear with great in-screen games.

Unfortunately is not complete. At least for Golden Sun, there does not come the Crossbone Island sub-quest which has some complex puzzles, gives you a Djinn YOU REALLY NEED in Golden Sun 2 and many useful items (altough most of them cursed). It only comes as a note, and IMHO this diminishes the value of this guide.

I don't know if something similar is missing for the Golden Sun 2 section.

Summary: Tells you all the secret places and item locations
Review: It's true that this guide doesn't "walk you though step-by-step". If you need that kind of instruction, you shouldn't even be playing RPG games, better check yourself into a community college or go back to 1st grade. It shows you the location with a picture, and some hints. How to get there? Well, just walk around, isn't that part of the fun of exploring the game?
