Review: I'm currently playing thru Chrono Cross, and I've found this book to be invaluable. I'm not a great player of video games, so having a guidebook chock-full of maps, hints, tips on fighting bosses, and where and how to acquire certain items is very useful! This book shows where everything is, and tells you how to get to it. My only two problems was one or two places where the text could be worded a little better, and the fact that whoever wrote this book seems to have made far better character progression while getting to the same points. This book also details each of the many characters you can recruit, tells you how to get them, and how to acquire all of their special techniques. If you're gonna play Chrono Cross, buy this book!!!

Review: If you happen to be stuck in the game or are looking to find a very powerful weapon, this book will help you. It is very detailed and gives a good amount of information on everything including item locations, character info., and world maps. Get this and the game will be a lot easier, otherwise you might end up lost in the game forever.

Review: Many that are playing CHRONO CROSS are playing it because of its prequel, CHRONO TRIGGER. One of the best parts of CHRONO TRIGGER was its storyline and its sequel CHRONO CROSS provides a very worth follow up storyline that should not be missed. But what if you get stuck in the game? You want to ba able to get the help you may need without the fear of reading what happens next in the storyline don't you? Then this strategy guide is for you. It is layed out in a way at to give very detailed descriptions as to what needs to be completed for all 40 playable characters and their side quests without giving away one ounce of story before you make it there on your own. An incredable guide indeed!

Summary: An Absolute Necessity...
Review: Normally on my RPG games I like to play them through without the help of guides, but Chrono Cross is so non-linear and has such a wide base of characters there is no real way you could find many of the cool stuff in the game without this guide. Simply put, it's well laid out, as bright and colourful as the game itself, details where all the items are located, and gives advice on how to beat the more difficult bosses. Yes, you can complete the game without this, but you would most certainly miss out on a lot of awesome subquests, groovy characters, and very helpful items, you woulnd't want to do that now, would you?

Review: Not only is the game great, but so is the guide for it. It tells how to forge all the weapons and armor, shows how to get all the elements, goes into detail on the boss fights, and also, it tells how to get all the 40 or so characters. If you have the game, you should get the guide.

Summary: One of the Better Strategy Books, But...
Review: Ok, this review is for the more seasoned rpg gamers. First of all, if you have read the other reviews, this is definitely one of the better made guide books all around, one that's worth buying. With complete guides on all the characters including recruiting and tech skills, detailed-enough walkthroughs, table of monsters with drop/steal items, list of weapons, armors, accessories, and area maps with most treasure chests. For first time players or novice gamers, this is more than adequate. However, being a rpg fanatic, this guide did have a few drawbacks that it could've improve upon. One of the biggest is the locations of all rainbow shells. It did have descriptions on some but not on all of the locations and how to obtain them. The monster list could also have added the spells they casted which is important for element trapping. Also the monster lists and area maps did have mistakes in them in some parts and also some monsters were missing, but that can be overlooked since they are so extensive. There are several other minor stuffs like these that only seasoned gamers would care about. I am just one of those players that tries to unlock all the secrets and get all items to get the full experience from the game. All in all, however, this is definitely a worthy book to own that deserves a solid 4.5 stars.
