Rating: Summary: A great help for this great game Review: Crono Cross is a great game, but sometimes can be very difficult and this can become frustrating. This is where this book comes in. This book is very well written with TONS of information and helpful hints. The walkthrough was very helpful, especially in helping with the side quests. And of course, who could forget the TONS of maps in the book to help you along. Overall, i recommend you buy this book because it helps so much and can make your "gaming experience" better numerous ways.
Rating: Summary: Excellent helper Review: Extremely helpful for Chrono Cross. Has good maps, tells about the characters, and shows where to find stuff. A must have if you're looking to find all the secrets in the game or if you're lost in the game. You should definitely buy this too if you plan on buying Chrono Cross.
Rating: Summary: An Excellent Guide! Good Work BradyGames! Review: First of all, the game's layout is just beautiful. Lots of artwork, screenshots to help you out, and full-colour maps. The walkthrough is rather good, (even though you keep having to flip to the back for the maps) The boss tips are right on, and all the items you can find are listed as well as enemy info and pictures. Info on New Game+ is also included (though i did notice a few things missing..) Also, all the characters, the specials, and info on how to recruit them is listed flawlessly. This game isn't difficult (and a guide isn't needed to beat the game) but if you're a completist, and want to get everything there is to get in Chrono Cross, this guide has everything you need.
Rating: Summary: The best guide for any game! Review: Having bought BRADYGAMES guides For Final fantasy anthologies, Final Fantasy 8. I was really disapointed with them. But not with CHRONO CROSS. Very detailed and it's useful. A great guide for A great game Chrono Cross guide: A-
Rating: Summary: This book tells you how to get everything. Review: I bought this book after playing Chrono Cross for a few hours of just wandering around and not knowing where to go. After I got the guide it opened it to all of the fun that Chrono Cross really is it helps you find all the characters(40) and every item and secret. This is one of the best guidebooks every.
Rating: Summary: Well Worth The Money Review: I found this guide to be perfect in my tackling of Chrono Cross. The walkthroughs are simple and easy to follow, and the character information section is very useful as well. Also, this guide provides in depth maps of all possible items that can be found in every area. Chrono Cross can be a difficult game, as it becomes complicated to know where to go to progress the storyline. This guide got me through this very enjoyable game, and made my experience with it, a lot less stressful. Go buy this game, and the guide if you need it, it's well worth the money.
Rating: Summary: Helpful, but not always right Review: I have used Bradygames Strategy Guides for several games, and they were always helpful and normally the information is accurate. The maps in this strategy guide are extremely helpful if you want to find all the elements and items, but don't trust everything you read in the walkthrough. At least one section is so wrong that if you follow what the stratgy guide says, you will never get past that point in the game. The strategy guide is extremely helpful for those who never played Chronotrigger, and I doubt if anyone could recruit all the characters without using it, but don't trust it on startegy
Rating: Summary: Everything you need to know Review: I purchased Chrono Cross awhile back on an online auction site. The seller wanted to sell me the guide with the game too, so I reluctantly accepted. I like to figure out games for myself, so I figured I could just sell the guide after receiving it. That was the plan . . . but once I looked over the guide, well, I knew it had a home. The guide is very complete, it has lots of nice charts for weapons, armor, and enemies and menus, the most useful charts being those that told how to get the characters' level 7 tech skills. As much as I would like to think I am the perfect game player, well . . . there is no crazy way I could've found all of those tech skills on my own. There is a good selection of maps toward the back, too. There isn't any overworld map though (overworld meaning a big map of the whole land, but it isn't all that much trouble getting around without it). Oh yes, it also tells you how to get all of the different endings. That's a definite plus; some of the endings are mediocre, but others of the endings are downright awesome. In summary, it is completely possible to beat the game without the guide. But the guide helps the reader explore many of the intricacies, such as various sidequests, adding to the length and richness of the game. Any gripes? The guide does have the occasional minor misprint (but so does every guide), and it often elaborates excessively on how to beat the bosses, but other than that, it is solid. I highly recommend.
Rating: Summary: Good guide and VERY nice writing style Review: I really liked this guide. It didnt spoil ANYTHING and even left out EVERY plot element. This did exactly what a guide should do. It told you where to go next and gave a list of things to do, but not descriptions or exact steps right away. I found myself going through the game just by reading the titles of each section. This game is really pretty easy if youve played a lot of rpgs, but if you really want to see the incredible story unfold, use this guide and you will really enjoy it. Also, if you dont like this game because you started playing and there are no characters from CT, play through the entire game. I made the mistake of letting this game sit on my shelf for a few years because of that. A week ago i bought this guide and started playing again and really enjoyed it. Im thinkin about gettin the sound track soon, even though ive been telling myself to buy the CT OST for years. If only they did a soundtrack for Radical Dreamers....Oh well, most of those songs are in CC anyway. Back to this guide, (im terrible at these reviews) there were a few BIG problems with the map section. The Termina Bar accounts for about 5 maps. Several maps are actually not there. Theres a box for them but instead of that area, it is the Termina Bar stretched to fit that area. this is confusing, yet very funny as items are pointing to the tables and such. Overall though, i enjoyed this guide.
