Rating: 4 stars
Summary: not the best
Review: Though this book has all the monsters it can be confusing at some points. It also has many mistakes at certain important points in the game that can confuse someone.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: This is an amazing book.
Review: I would like to note that this game has every single secret inside it. Every single one. It does this without even mentioning the story once. That is very incredible considering that most RPG gamers out there want to experience the story for themselves. This is one of Brady Games' finest hours.

Summary: A help, not a burden
Review: The strategy guide itself has several distinct points which is different from any strategy guides, even the official strategy guide by Squaresoft.

The author uses the original keys on the PC keyboard which greatly diminishes the confusion when reading other strategy books. You really need to figure out what a circle button on a playstation control pad represents on your keyboard. The layout design makes the reader more eager to read than the official guide, maybe because of the smaller size. I found the orginal guide quite clumsy to hold on and because it is so nice that you treat the book so careful and have no such 'mood' to continue reading. The reason I give the book four stars is that the unclear images it possess. The image itself is in grayscale and the size is too small to see clearly. Maybe it is the author's trick to make people more difficult to figure out the direction. One last thing I have to salute is the very detailed information of each character and enemy the author gives. It is really good. After all, if I can choose again, shall I buy the book? The answer is yes because it is the only PC Strategy Guide available and the best detailed guide for the pc version.

Summary: 1 Word-Perfect
Review: Obviously, some of the other reviewers who gave it 2 or 3 stars are a little confused. This strategy guide is amazing. It told me whatever i needed. For example, I needed to pass a test to raise my SeeD ranking(for those of you who don't own the game you probably won't know what I'm talking about). I looked in the guide and it had all of the answers to every single test. True there were a few errors(if you call missing a few s's in a few sentances major errors). Otherwise I was completely satisfied with this Guide.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Useful, but it had some mistakes
Review: It had some useful information, but some of it was hard to find. I mean, you have to go searching though the book looking for what refines into what to give you the items for the weapons. The beastiary was hard to follow also. On the up side, its walkthough does get you though the game. Buy it if you don't want to just get one off the internet.

Summary: ... I'd rather go download a walkthru than spend money buyin
Review: The thing is that this book is not worth the money. I've read it, and it's not half as good as the one I downloaded online. The only reason why it's all thick and stuff is because you get all those monster stats which are actually useless. I'd rather get myself another game with that money (or actually it only can buy me a nice dinner at Earls or something) than spend it on such a walkthrough, when I know I can get a better one for free.

Summary: Average...
Review: Keeping the theme of most previous reviewers this book is average. Unfortunately that makes it quite a poor strategy guide. As far as the walkthru's are concerned it isn't too bad at giving you the general idea of what you hgave to do. Unfortunately that is about it. When it comes to finding out related information you will find yourself flicking endlessly through the pages trying to put together all the information you need to do something (I mean, would one big table which shows what everything refines into not be slightly better than about 20 small ones!). The 'secrets' are at the end which is OK, but they look like they have been thrown in as an after thought. And worst of all they have split the maps! PLain and simply the map layout is absolutely abysmal. This is daft as it is flying around on the maps that you do for most of the game! The Bestiary is also poorly laid out with inaccurate and misleading information that will frustrate you, especially if you are looking for a specific monster which is supposed to be in a specific area. All in all, it will help you get to the end of the game but it could have been done a lot better.

Summary: hopefully helpful
Review: i hope this book helps all you final fantasy lovers. i tried to make the game as interesting as possible without giving away any major secrets as the storyline progressed. enjoy!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Useful but full of errors
Review: It's a good guide, and it doesn't give away the story. However, the maps section of the book isn't very well organised and there are a whole lot of errors in the book (from Ultima weapon having 1068HP to zillions of typos). Buy it only if you really can't play the game without the book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: cool book...
Review: this is such a cool book! After i read it, i played it without difficulties... Its like my guide to completing the game ! thanks alot !
