Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: As good as the Final Fantasy 7 guide Review: After writing the great Final Fantasy 7 guide, Cassidy had a lot to live up to. And he achieved it with the Final Fantasy 8 guide. He takes you step by step through one of the most complex RPG's to date, making it easier to understand and helping you complete this game. This guide has it all, Dont miss this book if you are looking to tear this game apart quest by quest.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: What a waste of Mula. Review: This guide is slightly less useful than some found on the internet. It has a useful boss guide, but the walkthru is not very helpful. It has some very nice screen shots and art, and the world map comes in handy.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Great book Review: This is a great strategy guide for a great game. This guide has everything you will ever need to know about FF8. The first time I started the game I progressed without much knowledge of what I was doing. Then I purchased the guide, a great decision. The second time through I collected several very powerful and rare cards, the levels of my characters were higher, I had more spells, and I was having more fun. To sum up, this guide is excellent and definitly well worth the money.

When I got the guide and read the sections up to where I had played I realized that I had forgotten so much. I realized how much better off I would be (because of the guide) so I restarted. Before the guide, I thought the game was a little slow moving at the start. Now however that I have the guide I look forward to playing more because I know my characters will be stronger, my item list better, and all in all I will have more fun playing the game.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: All the information, poorly organized Review: There's no way you will read through this book and find yourself less prepared for the game. It's written in an easy style, with a tendency to hide major plot points, and all the information needed to beat the game lies herein. The only problem is, it's all over the place. In the end, my wife and I ended up using a series of Post-it notes and envelopes and several times in the game we both had to consult the book to find out how to continue onwards. Rather frustrating.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A GREAT READ Review: i really liked the Final Fantasy books and games, and this book supports why i like it. Great tips that helped me get out of a sticky situation. Definately an improvement over its predecessor, the guide to Final Fantasy VII. If you never played the game, this book may intrigue you into buying one.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A MUST Have Review: If you're thinking about buying this book...think no more. It is all you will need and more to beat this game with a kick...score. This book has where all of the GF's are and how to get them. It also explains what you will need to fight all of your Boss fights. It doesn't tell you how to beat your final battle but it does give you all the information you will need to be strong enough to Win Big!

Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Awesome, very detailed guide :) Review: Excellent guide, very helpful and covers just about everything there is. The monster list was very detailed and informative. And it's all in the book, ie. no need to check PlayOnline every second page. ;) However it doesn't cover the final boss strategies like the FF7 guide did. The best part about this book I reckon is the full statistics listings (for Magic, GFs, abilities, items, cards, bestiary). I got the guide after beating the game twice and I discovered heaps of stuff that I've missed in the first 2 games. :) I think it's the best one out of BradyGames' FF7,FF8,FF9 guides. I haven't bought the FF10 one yet, EB ran out of stock o_O
