Rating: Summary: Don't drink liquid before reading this book..... Review: ...because you will snarf it for sure. Montague is a fresh new twisted talent who's ability to peg people as cultural stereotypes and to expose their self-delusion gives The Onion a serious run for its money. Montague coats her biting, observations with innocent and childlike whimsy, which prevents her from coming off as a dour, one-dimensional cynic (a la Janeane Garafalo). This book would be especially a propos for a jaded Gen-Z'er about to graduate from college to head out into the jobless void. Utterly hilarious.
Rating: Summary: It's funny because it's true! Review: A startlingly funny book. If you don't know one of these people you ARE one of these people! It will make you laugh out loud.
Rating: Summary: One of two books hopeless job hunters really need!!! Review: After months of trying to decide what was so wrong with me that no one would hire me, I nearly had a breakdown. This book and Hire Me Dumbass by Joe Mozian helped to put everything into perspective. If you feel like its you
its not. These two books will absolutely help you realize that, and make you laugh till something good happens. These books are hysterical and are written by people who really understand the emotions involved with not being wanted. More importantly, they know how to laugh at rejection. If you are one of the millions of Americans experiencing career rejection or confusion, get these two books and laugh a little.
Rating: Summary: Not all it was cracked up to be Review: I bought this book solely based on the other reviews posted here and I am sorry I did. It was generally a waste of my 10 bucks. There was nothing new or especially "fresh" about any of the humor and - frankly - it got very boring about half way through. Letters A and B made me laugh, but the remaining 24 letters fell flat. I found it to be mean-spirited in some cases and felt like I was reading the author's therapy sessions in others. Don't buy this book. Others have written much better on this exact same topic.
