Summary: GEEKS DWEEBS AND DORKS REJOICE!!!
Review: Absolutely one of the funniest collection of stories I own. Angus Oblong picks up where Edward Gorey and Tim Burton leave off. If you've ever felt like the outsider, any one of these stories is for you. Sweet, sarcastic, rude and excruciatingly funny, "Creepy Susie" is relentless and unpredictable. I giggle every time I think of Little Scooter. And Dick and Muffy is positively brilliant. I can't wait to see the next collection. Or better yet, a TV show.

Summary: A wonderful, revolting, sick and twisted little book
Review: First of all, y'gotta love the author's name!

This book is sort of like Edward Gorey meets Ren & Stimpy. You can read the whole thing in about half an hour and be in stitches for days. This, of course, assumes that you have a taste for the sick, the twisted, the gross, and the eerie. I especially recommend "The Siamese Quadruplets" in this regard.

This is not a book for the faint of heart/stomach. It is not merely macabre like Addams or Gorey; in several instances it is downright revolting, but in such a silly way that I have to love it!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Simply put, this is the funniest book I've ever read.
Review: Elegantly tactless! Lavishly blatant! You'll be amazed at how each story surpasses its predecessor. These stories are filled with quirky characters you'll love. An easy five stars.

Summary: MUST-HAVE morbidity!
Review: Utterly breathtaking. Laugh-out-loud. But clearly not forchildren. This is a grown-up book. And it's not for squeamishgrown-ups, either. But I swear, I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard at anything! I hope this is the beginning of a long line of macabre, illustrated mayhem. Delectable!

Summary: Twisted hilarity at its finest!
Review: This book is one of the funniest and most original of its kind. There is an underlying sweetness to these wonderfully twisted tales that will hopefully put Oblong in the ranks with Charles Aadams, Tim Burton and Edward Gorey where he belongs. A laugh-out-loud treasure.

Summary: Very sick and wrong and lovable.
Review: These books have been (in their original mail-order version) a staple of bathroom reading in our home. Once is never enough to get the full effect of these creepy and utterly functional tale-lettes (especially their effect on improving the regularity and consistency of bathroom "activities"!) A purge worth the urge. If cat shaving and big scary smiles delight you as they do me and my family (whatever), then you'll just wonder about these books well into your henceforth sleepless nights.

Summary: how could you not love this?
Review: i ordered the book directly from angus himself and maybe the personalization he did for me has won me over but i think he is hilarious. the oblongs was genius and this book just furthers that hilarity. these stories are short and to the point. his style is like no other and the endings will always get you. angus also said i was his 14th favourite fan...so i'm sold. ha!

Summary: Hilarious & Twisted cartoon book for the criminally insane
Review: There wasn't a dry eye in the house when I passed this book around. Sure, its twisted, but the cartoons are so comical and the situations so improbable that you just have to laugh at them.

Keep in mind, this is a cartoon book for adults only, it is far too violent for children; but come on adults...it's a cartoon book. It is not a portrayal of realistic violence in our society. The world was a less violent place back when the
Road Runner constantly trashed Wile E. Coyote, and perhaps the reason I found Creepy Susie to be so funny was that it breathed life back into the funny aspect of mortality.

My favorites would have to be The Debbies (treat yourself here and use the "Look Inside" feature of Amazon to read The Debbies), Stupid Betsy, Waldo & Bean, Narcoleptic Scottie, Rosie's Crazy Mother, and Jenny, Jenny, Jenny & Babette: The Siamese Quadruplets.

Whether snipping off tiny heads, shoving marbles in your butt, collecting Poo, holding slimy things, cross dressing, shaving cats and putting yellow sticky pads on them, offing your brother, or simply cooking up your parents; you will be sure to find humor not just in the written words but also in the comical and silly artwork here in Creepy Susie.

I would give it 8 stars if I could. Enjoy!

Summary: dear god.
Review: Any fan of Edward Gorey's morbid comics will like this dark (and I mean dark) illustrated book of children's tales. Most start out like slightly twisted fairy tales. Simple storyline. Obvious moral. Then they take a twist that usually ends up with someone dead, typically by dismemberment. The only negative reviews on Amazon are "In the age of Columbine...simply sick!" and go on to criticize it for encouraging kids to kill other kids. Sick, true. But this book is obviously not for 12-year-olds, but reasonable adults with a dark sense of humor. I liked it.
