Summary: A joy with some reservations
Review: I have never been disappointed in my Get Fuzzy purchases. The tales of Satchel and Bucky are always funny, and the irreverent dialogue is at times brilliant. Conley does a good job maintaining story lines in his daily cartoons, and often those storylines last far longer than most other cartoonists will venture them. But this book is not without some problems. In many of his earlier Get Fuzzy collections, Conley avoids using his comic to spread his political beliefs. However, in Blueprint for Disaster, Conley eventually lets go and has some anti-war messages, negative references to Pat Buchanan, and at times Bucky becomes the embodiment of what Conley thinks of Republicans; to quote the middle comic on page 103 a personality test describes Bucky Katt as "...ignorant, arrogant, close-minded and hostile" and we find on page 111 that Bucky Katt is a Pat Buchanan fan. While 98% of this book is the wonderful Get Fuzzy that I love, the negative references to conservatives are nearly enough to prevent me from buying another Get Fuzzy collection.

Summary: Love none of the characters.
Review: I love the car in the Get Fuzzy series. Everytime the boys want to go someplace there the car is ready an a rarin' to go. It starts all the time. Has a front and backseat. Oh yes it comes with a real unique feature, that being it can handle a childs seat in which Bucky rides. That is why I feel that this is such a great strip. That car is so real to life, its just like my car. Boy could Conley be more on the money with his descriptions of cars? Of all the comics of the past Darby has shown us that even though cars have been in comics of the past, he has shown us the best. In fact had I not owned my own car I would not have seen this as funny.

Summary: Hi-freakin-larious
Review: Much like the oft-touted Big Three (Calvin and Hobbes, Bloom County, The Far Side), it is impossible to read Get Fuzzy without experiencing true belly laughs. I feel like there's been a dearth of funny comics for a while, and when my local paper started running Get Fuzzy, I knew that void was filled. Read this and all other Get Fuzzy books, they're all awesome.

And I hate to continue with this whole grammar thing, but the Doctor was right to correct the Corinth reviewer, just for the wrong reason. The review should read "Darby, don't...," not "Darby don't..." or "Darby doesn't..."

Summary: I think I remember my brother falling off the couch laughing
Review: My sister gave me this book last Christmas. My siblings and I (we're 13, 16, 18, and 20) had already gotten hooked on the strip through the books we got from the library, and this was the first one we bought. As my title says, I think I remember my brother collapsing off our couch on Christmas Day because he was laughing so hard. It's THAT funny.

"Get Fuzzy" gets better and better as you get to know the characters. I haven't seen such brilliantly hysterical social commentary, flat-out funny nonsense, and humorous diatribes on all life's ills since "Calvin & Hobbes," which I still maintain as the greatest comic strip on the planet. So, spend a little time, get to know Rob, Bucky, and Satchel (with a just a smidgin of imagination, they'll immediately remind you of people you already know), and you'll enjoy this strip even more.

Darby Conley is on a roll, and he is a funny, funny man.

Summary: Plain Disaster.
Review: Scalded by an ex lover, Satchel sets out to set the score on all women. Bucky and Rob try and knock some sense into the injured pride of Satchel. "Not until I show them what I can do!", screams the depressed pooch. First it was one homeless girl. The next victim was a prostitute. The deaths keep mounting until the FBI finally catches up to Satchel and puts an end to his carnage.
Based on The Son of Sam's serial killing spree, one would be rivited to this novel if for not the fact that we had seen the main characters in a different light before this. The Son Of Sam had been a mailman. Satchel has always hated postmen. This may be the reason that Conley has gone after the mail service. Could it be that Conley has an irrational hatred of the Postal Service? I for one enjoyed the original formula Cnley used in his books, that being the mundane life of Opus, Garfield and Jon.

Summary: the best ten buck(y)s you can spend
Review: sorry about the pun in the title, anyway, this book is better than the first 4, i am a HUGE get fuzzy fan and anyone will love this book, the only downsides, are: no color, and i wish he had included the strips where bucky shoots his "crib" for mtv, all in all though it is excellent

Summary: Hilarious
Review: The comic strip Get Fuzzy will make you believe that Bucky and Satchel are people instead of pets! You'll love to read this comic about the daily lives of these pets and their owner. All of the Get Fuzzy comics are great

Summary: It's Bucky Time!!!
Review: There are very few comic strips that I like anymore. In fact, I now only go out of my way to read two strips, and this is one of them.

Darby Conley is great!!! I love his work. I was really excited to pick this book up and read of some of the mischief that Bucky and Satchel find themselves in. This even has Bucky going so far as taking the Ferret next door to Judge Judy.

The humor is fantastic. The contrast between Bucky and Satchel makes for great comedy. There were many parts where I was giggling and a few parts where I was laughing out loud.

I'm looking forward to picking up more of "Get Fuzzy".
