Summary: A funny book that comes from personal experience.
Review: Paul Reiser's first book, Couplehood was a blast reading and his second book, Babyhood was just as funny and great to read. It's a book that can relate to people. It's not a book packed with information and words people can't understand. It comes from personal experiences and it's a lot like his tv show, Mad About You which happens to be the best show on earth.

Summary: Man does he tell the truth...Didn't Know what I was in for.
Review: Paul Reiser again hits the nail in the head with a more real then life book. I have been hooked on Paul for years for his acting ability but his writting ability is top notch. I purchased Babyhood a couple months before my wife was due. I really enjoyed reading about his life with his son. I think it prepared me for the little things that were to come. I eagerly await his next book.

Summary: Insightful, endearing, "wet your pants" funny.
Review: An absolute must for anybody having or even thinking of having a baby. One of the funniest books I've read in a long time. I read most of it aloud to my husband while on an 8-hour car trip, and we laughed our selves silly.

Summary: A Great Book
Review: I don't care what Entertainment Weekly says, this was a great book!! Paul Reiser shows us once again he is the master of marital and baby humor. It has creative titles and it makes you wonder "How did he know that?" From his wacky view of baby toys to the classification of people in the baby's life, it will have you laughing till you cry.

Summary: If you like Couplehood, you like Babyhood
Review: The book is great, a bible for the newlyweds. Must read.

Summary: Laughing Out Loud
Review: The people on the bus must think I'm insane. This book had me doubled over in laughter. My husband and I are still trying to figure out how Paul Reiser knows so much about OUR private life. If you know anyone who is thinking of getting pregnant, pregnant, or just had a baby-buy them this book!

Summary: Babyhood helped me find the the little Dad inside me.
Review: My love affair with Paul Reiser's prose started with his debut, "Couplehood". I've recited his "What's for dinner, honey" bit from that gem at countless seminars. My colleagues love it! Well lucky for us Paul Reiser freaks, the laughs don't stop in the Large Print Edition of Babyhood. Once again, Paul Reiser delivers the comedic, heartfelt goods. Brutally honest, full of magical moments, and with a fine bold print that's not afraid to say "Look at me, I'm LARGE PRINT and proud of it." Paul, if you're reading this, thank you for once again dipping in to the beautiful well that is your mind and producing this wonderful, sweet book. And also for not forgetting us folks who enjoy LARGE PRINT.

Summary: Funny, indeed... but not as engaging as I expected
Review: I can't say that Paul Reiser's book on babies (making them and having them), "Babyhood", was bad or dull. On the contrary, it was quite funny and packed with thought-provoking comments that make you question some of your irrational behaviors as you're going through the stages of parenthood , both before and after birth. However, I expected a lot more humor from the star and producer of 'Mad About You', arguably one of the best comedy shows ever, along with 'Seinfeld'. On that level, I must recommend as an alternative (a non-stop laughter generator) the book "Being a Dad: The Stuff No One Told Me". I read it shortly before "Babyhood". Though not as deep as this one in some spots, I found it to be a lot funnier than Reiser's.

Summary: Such a cute book!
Review: I was having some kind of post-partum anxiety or something - really stressed and worried, etc. A friend had given me this book and I began reading it each day. It was so cute and funny and something any new parent can relate to. I felt like Paul Reiser was my friend - he seems to be such a nice guy! Anyway, this light reading was a welcome change from the 100 baby care books that I was obscessing over. I was so afraid of doing something wrong! Well, my baby is doing fine and almost a year old now! And I look forward to reading this cute little book again sometime. I would also love to give it as a gift.
