Review: I read this book in one night and learned more about making films than any other book on the market. Llyod you're truly an inspiration to all of us up and coming "guerilla" film makers. It's a shame that not all bookstores carry this amazing title. This is a must read for future low budget film makers.

Review: Personally, I think that this book was amazing and that Lloyd Kaufman is a genius. But thats just my opinion. I'm sure if a middle-aged mother read the book she would probably be revolted by it. If you thought it was hilarious, or even giggled a little when the kid got his head crushed in The Toxic Avenger, then you're probably twisted enough to appreciate Lloyd Kaufman's genius. But if it made you vomit you should probably stay away from the book. So i probably wouldn't recommend the book to any old joe who's reading this. Because you probably suck. But if you've ever liked any Troma movie, or are a fan then you should definetley read the book. It's actually got some really good information on filmmaking as well. So if thats your thing, you might want to check it out too. But as far as I go, this was probably the coolest book i've ever read. Lloyd Kaufman is rock and roll.

Review: Over the years, Troma has put out some classic movies, such as the Toxic Avenger, Cry Uncle, the Class of Nuke Em High, and the more recent hits Tromeo and Juliet and Cannibal:The Musical. In Troma founder Lloyd Kaufman's first (and hopefully not last) book, he describes the struggle (and rewards) of independent film making. It's freaking hilarious also. Even if you never saw a Troma movie (oh deprived one), this book is still enjoyable. Buy it now or you'll never know what you're missing out on!

Review: I have read a lot of books on filmmaking and almost all of them try to glamourize the filmmaking process. Trying to Hollywood it all up. Lloyd doesn't do that, he tells the truth, the bitter reality of trying to fight the businessmen that control the mainstream film. And he does it with so much creativity, humour and blood 'n' guts that it becomes a fascinating read. Even if Troma movies aren't your thing, here is a book that supports independent filmmaking all the way. And not the Sundance suck-ups but the true creative spirit. Highly recommended.
