Review: A wonderful book about life, love and living a Christian life. This is a book that makes one want to pray more and have more faith. Vestal showed her faith in God. She prayed and then left it in God's capable hands. This books makes you laugh and cry, but most of all it leaves you feeling good. After reading this book my faith in God was stronger and my love for this woman who I so admire was increased. Thank you Vestal!!!

Review: I bought this book at a Gaither concert. I couldn't put it down. Vestal is truly a wonderful saint of God and an inspiration to me. I enjoyed reading about her life and what made her who she is today. I feel she is a wonderful role model for any women who wants to be the kind of women described in Proverbs 31. I love Vestal and admire her very much.

Review: I have admired Vestal Goodman for years, especially because of her former hairstyles. I read this book and could not put it down. I understood how her life had come up from bootstraps and how time and time again they were desolate and had nothing but the Goodman Family and faith. Vestal was honest and frank about several relationships and theology. She did not mince words on anything. Vestal wrote this book not to impress anyone but to honor God.

Review: I have always loved and admired this lovely Christian lady, as I grew up listening and watching her sing for our Lord. I always suspected a wonderful story existed about her life and that of the rest of the Happy Goodman Family. I'm just so glad she wrote it and shared it with the rest of us. The Lord showed it to me as a blessing. It truly is hard to put down and I really feel the Lord used it to restore the joy of my salvation. I laughed and I cried, but I was never sorry I bought this book.

Review: I have read this book eight times and each time something new speaks to me. What truly amazes me is although Vestal has went through so many trials, her faith in God has never faltered. Some experiences of hers will really make you think about your faith and where you are in your walk with Christ. Some of the things you will read about make you think- "Can this really happen?"-but if you will read in the Bible they really were performed by Jesus. A interesting note is that Vestal is VERY careful not to put to many dates in her book so as you will not find out her age. Enjoy and you will not regret buying this book. It is good to read when you are down and depressed and it lets you know God is real and alive!

Review: I highly recommend this book to any gospel music fan. It is truly worth reading and you will find it difficult to put down. After reading this book you will have a better understand of why everyone loves Vestal Goodman and why she has the faith in God that she has. I have read other books by Ken Abraham and as usual he has done a wonderful job on this book as well. Truly this will be a book that all southern music fans will want to add to their collection.
