Summary: A very funny book
Review: This book is great. It's like stand-up, just that you're reading it. It's recommended for people who like famous comedians' books, but for people who want a story to be told- well, this isn't for them.
One more thing about the book: You'll discover one or two funnily true things about Tim Allen.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: a "guy's book"
Review: This book is really good, but it seems like it's more for a guy. I didn't find some stuff too interesting because it sounded like it was directed more towards the males in this world. It's still a great book to read though.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Not too good
Review: This book isn't any good. I expected a lot more from him. It mostly talks about women that he wanted to sleep with.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Man, is he funny.
Review: This book was really great, the kind you read again every few years. A definite keeper. I read it a while ago so I don't remember anything specific, only that it was hilarious.

Summary: Don't stand too close to this book.
Review: This book wasn't as good as it's hyped up to be. He spends an inordinate amount of time contemplating his genitals (because his last name used to be Dick, so he unloads years of childhood teasings here) and just generally being crude, vulgar and gross. And his stuff just isn't that funny. Jerry Seinfeld's "Seinlanguage" and Paul Reiser's "Couplehood" were much funnier. After reading this book, I'll probably never watch "Home Improvement" again.

Summary: Its a mans book written a man that all women should read
Review: This is a book all man can relate to and all women seem to hate. Which is realy sad because its only in the last few chapters you learn what Tim has learned in his life and for that matter the secert that all men learn as they grew older. The absolute strength and power of women and their amazing place in society. feminist turned off by the frist chapters of the book go away missing the point. Men are flawed and women are the most amazing things on earth.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good entertainment for a first-time author.
Review: This is an entertaining book, but obviously from a first-time writer. Tim runs thru his usual stand-up gambit of humor from childhood to adulthood, which, by-the-way I hope he never reaches. Light, easy reading, with some insight into Tim's childhood and the loss of his father. It also contains some references to childhood behavior that are a refreshing touch of the past if you are in this age bracket.

Summary: You'll laugh your a** off!
Review: This is one of the funniest books I have ever read. After you read it you'll find yourself laughing at odd times because you remembered something from the book.

Summary: Tim, if you ever read this review,THANKS!
Review: This review is to Tim Allan, his friends and people who may be browsing for a good book. I catagorize books into five slots: Very Bad, Bad, O.K., Good, and Life Changeing. Well, I can safly say that this book changed my life. No B.S. I swear. Before this book, I held a negitive outlook on life. With problems at home and no way to vent my frustrations, I got into trouble, Major trouble. When I was 12 I broke some windows in my Junior High school. A year later, I broke into a house. Before both of these My parents divorced and I bottled my anger until it exploded. But after I read "Don't Stand Too Close To A Naked Man," I finally felt like I had someone to relate to. I'm sixteen going on seventeen in August. I finally felt like someone out there understood how I felt. I mean, some of the things he said in there sounded like he had picked my brain and taken out my thoughts. I can safly say that this book has something for everyone to relate to and again, thanks Tim, I owe you one!
