Rating: Summary: Tim Allen Don't Stand Too Close To A Naked Man Review: Well this book is about a very funny man by the name of Tim Allen . The title of this book is Tim Allen Don't Stand Too Close To A Naked Man. He talk about child life as a boy , mostly about guy stuff. Also he would talk about his teen boy life like he smoke just to be cool and just a girl that he didn't even get . He also gives us some what guy tips about a girls. Like don't let a girl some what run your life. He tells us guy we are the man in the relationship . You would also read about his time when he went jail for selling drugs and he tells us that he wish he could go back in time. He also went to prison and he say never go there because there are a lot lunatics in prison. He talk about what he did on his free time like he fix up cars like he would put in a new stereo system and fix the engine so it would go fast and etc . Also he say that all guys have secrets and they should never be said or told .
What think about this books is that it is a great book . I would tell people to read this read this book ,but I would recommend this book to only guy or girl that want to know about guy stuff. When I read this book I could some what say my life is some what like his . If I had to rate the book 1 to 10 I would rate it 8 . When you are reading the book it is like he his talk to you face to face . It is also like he is joking with you while you read his book.
Rating: Summary: Why TIM ALLEN Rules Review: As a lifetime fan of Tim Allen and his unique style of humor, I was very aware of the possability that I could review this book with bias. But even though I tried not to laugh, I honestly couldn't help it. This is the greatest book I have read in ages, ... hell alright, the best book I have ever read. Full of insight into his life, and style of well being.. Tim shows he has been through just what anybody has, or will, in their life. A true inspiration to me, to try live out my dreams, ... except of course, the part about jail.

Rating: Summary: Treating you like a best friend Review: Besides the humour, the thing that stood out in this book is Tim's unpretentious and honest style of writing. Tims candidly reveals his flaws, without bothering to window dress them with flimsy excuses. The first chapter on page 5 sets the tone for the entire book: Tim acknowledges he is hitherto not known for his writing. He is grateful to his readers for trusting him enough to take a chance by buying his book. He therefore trusts them in return and reveals the kind of stuff that one would only share with one's best friend. And then maybe not. There are enough chuckles to keep the book light and interesting.
Rating: Summary: Funny and warm viewpoints of Man, as a different species Review: Do you belive that two different species are ruling this earth? You will believe that reality, if you read "Don't Stand Too Close To A Naked Man". Tim Allen claims that man and woman are not opposite sexes but they are completely different species. He also does not forget, even does stress, that man is no longer superior to woman who should understand and lead man, a poor have-to-work-for-living being with simple theory. Woman will be closer to man after reading that book.
Rating: Summary: The funniest book I ever read. Review: Finally a book that wasn't about the O.J. Simpson case. It's great to get away from it all and relax as you read about Tim Allen's Life. This book has everything; wit, humor, charm, and even a little romance (read the book and you'll know what I mean.) I totally recomend this book for anyone who is a fan, or anyone who is curious about what led to Tim's arrest, and what it was like in the "Big House". As a correctional officer I can honestly say he's pretty dead on. So Don't delay and buy it from amazon.com right now!
Rating: Summary: Funny, but thoughtful as well Review: Here's another book that clearly is attempt to take advantage of the success of a television show. I enjoy Tim Allen's humor and thought his show was pretty good, and was expecting more of the same in this book. There is a lot of very funny material in this book, and I frequently laughed out loud. I especially enjoyed the chapter entitled "The Secrets Men Never Tell Women" (no, I'm not going to tell--you'll have to read the book!). Surprisingly, though, Tim Allen also reveals a philosophical side here as well. Parts of this book are quite thoughtful and reflective, and show a surprising depth. I definitely can relate to much of the material in the chapter on fatherhood. This is a fun book that also provides a little food for thought.
Rating: Summary: A Man Who Lives up to His Pen Review: Hey, I know he isn't the best writer out there, but he isn't too bad either. He caught me completely by surprise at the most unexpected times! I know he thrashes women, but what do you expect the vast majority of men to do? Frankly, for you ultra-feminists or just plan feminists out there, only the men with i.q. of 1 (which you probably think of all males) would follow his example. This was meant to be funny, not to be a life's lesson! All in all, I think it was like a comic strip without pictures.
Rating: Summary: not really like his show Review: I first saw Tim Allen on Home Improvement and thought he was great. Then I saw every movie he was in and they were great. I, unfortunately, have not had the chance to see his stand up acts (although i hope to shortly). I bought this book with a little hesitation because of the title. But once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down. This book is very frank on his early sexual experiences. (I personally liked the part of the poster). I would not recommend it to the child fan of his tv show because the jokes are either too vulgar for little kids or they may not get them the way they were intended. Anyone else that enjoys uncut humor should buy this book. I guarantee you that you will not regret the decision.
