Rating: Summary: Your scent is still here in my place of recovery Review: This is a true story about one great band and one great man (sorry about wrong rating-only "come as you are" by Michael Azerrad deserves 10!
Rating: Summary: a pretty good book................ Review: This is a very well written book. The thing that confused me a little bit, because I want to know if they think it was suicide, or murder? Anyways this book shows images, quotes of people's perspective, and stories of nirvana. It shows a deep and dark look of the icon "Kurt Cobain". Kurt Cobain to me, is like 2 Pac to other people. If you feel the same way about Kurt like I do, you got to get this book. It shows never before seen images from nirvana, Courtney love, and Kurt himself. You could read about all of nirvanas albums. If you need to write a biography about someone for school, I suggest getting this book and write a biography about Kurt Cobain. It sucks that he's not around anymore. Suicide, murder, you decide (www.justiceforkurt.com) that website can give you all the information of Kurt Cobain that he could have been murder. I believe he was murdered, and you probably will too. I also recommend the book "who killed Kurt cobain", but this book can still tell you the amazing life of Kurt Cobain.
Rating: Summary: Great Fan Book Review: This is an awesome addition to the library of a Nirvana/Kurt Cobaine fan. Cobaine features a selection of every article about Kurt Cobaine/Nirvana that appeared in Rollingstone Magazine. Included in Cobaine are album reviews, interviews, and articles (which are written by many different writers) that range from information about his early life to information about his suicide. Also featured in this book is a listing of all things that Nirvana has recorded, and a list of where they have toured. Within all this information a large amount of photos can be found. This book is a great item for a really big fan of Kurt Cobaine or for someone who is interested in just learning a little more about the man.
Rating: Summary: "Cobain" from the editors of Rolling Stone Review: This isn't a book totally directed at him. It's a book directed towards the ground breaking music that he made. It's a combination of past aricles that appeared in previous issues of Rolling Stone and statements that present and former writers and editors wrote about him. It's a great book. It's a new insite into Kurt's strange world. It also gives you a better understanding to where this man was standing in the world when he blew our minds with his incredible music. It's a must for anyone who likes him, his band or 90's music in general. I assure you that it would be a pitty for you to pass this book by.
Rating: Summary: great book Review: This was a great bunch of articles on kurts life. a definite must have book if you are any kind of fan of his!
Rating: Summary: The Man Who Sold The World Review: Those who knew Kurt best and even those who don't will all agree after reading this book it was a grave loss to not only punkers and teenagers everywhere but everyone who loves music. This masterpiece has dozens of Pics and personal quotes from the man who sold the world.
Rating: Summary: The rotten childhood, the fame, the abuse, the death. Review: What impressed me most about this colorful book was that even though the articles were written at different times, they never were repetitive. Unlike most of the other books that have been written about this hero, this one was actually well written. I also felt that the writers actually interviewed the goup, instead of just writting about all the rumors and cliches that went along with this award winning band. I loved the drawings and photographs that accompanied the text. It really complimented the nature of the book. The artwork in the book left you questioning just like most of their contemporary songs did for an entire generation. I definately enjoyed the book and recommend it to anyone who idolizes Kurt the way that I do. But i dont recommend it to anyone who thinks that Courtney killed Kurt.
Rating: Summary: Mind Blowing (pardon the pun) Review: When i looked at this book in my local book shop i started reading, I read the first quater, I was then asked to leave, I then decided to buy it. This book tells us not what a monster Kurt, but how emotionly fragile he actually was. It gives us a unique incite into how lonely u can be in a mass of people, people did not have the confidence to just sit next to him, but one person did and it was a very rewarding experiance, it just shows us what a nice person he was! If your are Nirvana fan who is curious about Kurt and his nightmare life buy this book
